Grayson and Emma. First love. True love. And they have a daughter. Abandonment is his curse. He left his woman, survived his team, and missed the moment most precious to a father - until now.
"I didn't know you were killing yourself with work. I didn't know you're raising our daughter. So help me God, had I known, there is no military force on Earth that would've kept me from you."
Love needs to heal all, or they won't survive the collision of their separate lives. Emma must reach deep into her heart that is barely hanging on and find forgiveness. Grayson, wracked with PTSD nightmares, must prove that he's here to stay and able to rebuild his family against all odds.
"I need to say I love you. But what I mean is I love you - in a way that defies definition and exists only in a world that you and I are in."

I am an accomplished, professional screenwriter. I love listening to: fiction in all genres!
I listened to three out of four from this series and since I bought it, I may as well suffer through the boredom of yet another finally book. I hoped for more from this author, especially as their books made it on the New York Times. I guess it just goes to show you that any piece of garbage can line the shelves as the New York Times "best-seller" list. Shameful really. But, I guess, if you like a book with no plot, crappy dialogue and unbelievable characters then this series is for you.
"A settled middle"
So yeah pretty much says it all. This was the section where so much is at stake, so much to go wrong for them both. Can and does. And what an ending again.... I still kinda want to shout at the writer, but I'm on to the last part to see where this all ends and if Emma, G and Cally get to finally have some happiness.
