The boys are back in town...
Ten years ago, Kaelin Daume spent a steamy summer home from college secretly hanging out with town bad boy Tyler Wirth and his best friend Nick Kernsted. The connection was warm, complicated, and came to a crashing end when she walked in on her two forbidden friends with another woman. The shocking scene of sex and bondage has haunted her boring, oh-so-vanilla life ever since. The fallout from that night tore Tyler's life apart. He left Mapleglen, disowned and disgraced, to build a successful advertising career and a unique relationship with Nick. Nothing could bring him back except his sister's wedding, and he plans to hightail it back to Chicago as soon as it's over. At least one good thing hasn't changed: Kaelin is as sweet as ever. Except she doesn't seem too thrilled to hear it.
As tensions run high, Kaelin can't resist the temptation to commit one crazy act of rebellion. Once the web of secrets, sins, and lies starts to unravel, though, their lives will never be the same...

KellyJamieson wrote my favorite ménage series ever so I had high expectations when I ordered ONE WICKED NIGHT on audiobook Feil Audible. Although the story was nowhere near horrible, it was definitely not as a standing at some of the other stories Ms. Jamieson had written. The first 20% of this book were boilerplate; The story about a family reuniting for one member's wedding. Luckily, soon afterwards things suddenly picked up. Actually, what happened was that soon after, we get the first sexy which HEATED thinks up as! The story remained entertaining (and hot) from there on! Although I would've preferred not to have heard the word, "wicked" quite so much, I did enjoy the story.
Initially, I was concerned that the narrator's voice might grate on my nerves but luckily, I was wrong about that. At first, I thought the narrator sounded matronly (sorry) yet she impressed me with her ability to alter her voice, changing it so that she spoke differently for each character, even the males! She did a phenomenal job!
Good Books Don't Promote Violence
Bad boy Tyler goes back to hometown for his sister's wedding, bringing his long time lover Nick, and runs into teenage crush Kaelin.
I liked Tyler & Nick but found Kaelin, the town sweetheart, a boring martyr. Despite being out of high school for at least 10 years, everyone seemed overly concerned with what their parents and/or THE TOWN would think of them.
What could have been a fun & sexy story got bogged down with rumors, gossip, and family drama. What mature person at 28 or 30 would allow family members or neighbors to decide who they should date or where with whom they can sleep? Yawn!
