Publisher's summary

Can the love of a lifetime be forever changed by one pink line? With heart, humor, and compassion, Dina Silver’s debut novel of love, loss, and family is certain to stir anyone who relishes a good laugh, can stand a good cry, and, above all, believes in the redemptive power of love.

This unique, modern story gives listeners a dual perspective. Sydney, a sweet-tempered, strong-natured college senior, is young, in love with an exceptional man, and unexpectedly pregnant. Faced with a child she never planned for, she is forced to relay this news to her neurotic mother, relinquish her youth, and risk losing the love of her life. Then there’s Grace, her daughter, who believes she is a product of this great love, but grows to realize her existence is not what she assumed and is left with profound and puzzling questions about who she really is.

Spanning generations and every imaginable emotion, One Pink Line reveals how two points of view can be dramatically at odds. Simultaneously deeply felt and lighthearted, it deftly mines how the choices we make can alter so many lives, and how doing the right thing can bring unexpected, hard-won happiness. It’s a must-listen for anyone who relishes a great love story, absorbing characters, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Did not disappoint-great listen!!

What did you love best about One Pink Line?

I loved this book! First, the performance was great and the narrators did a fabulous job with animation. I never once got bored and I did not want the story to end! It's a sweet story with a few twists and surprises but in the best way! It switches from two characters points of views multiple times but not once did I get confused.

What was one of the most memorable moments of One Pink Line?

I don't want to spoil anything but the realization of who Grace's father and then biological dad are. Not what I expected when I started the book.

Have you listened to any of Amy McFadden and Cristina Panfilio ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I LOVED it!! I'm not much of a cryer during audio books but it's not a sad book either. Definitely lots of laughs and happy thoughts though!

Any additional comments?

Listen to this book! If it sounds even remotely interesting, it won't disappoint.

pleasantly surprised

I didn't know how this book was going to turn out but I really enjoyed it. Sydney was such a strong woman to go through an unplanned pregnancy alone on top of losing the love of her life. it was interesting to hear Grace yell her side as well.

BOOK REVIEW: 5++ STARS

I bought this book and audiobook last year and every time I was scanning on my unlistened audios I always said: I want this one (One Pink Line) but something always happened (Bloggers duties most of the time) and I always ended up postponing it. But last week, I was heading work and my phone #1 was dead so I decided to listen one random audiobook in phone #2 and guess what I downloaded? *chuckles* I liked the first 4 chapters I listened that day but I had to finish other audio, so I decided to put it on hold until the weekend and guess what? It was the best decision ever, because I was a little confused with the narration and the reviews I saw in goodreads, and to be honest I almost decided to DNF, but I didn't. Thank God I didn't because this book taught me so much about life, right decisions, sacrifices, true love, parenthood and daughterhood.

This book is two stories: Sydney’s and Grace’s. Sydney’s a young woman that when she’s finishing college, she got pregnant and everything she had planned for her life changes. And Grace is a teen who finds out the truth about her parents and that changes her perspective of life, and in one way or another, defines the woman who she becomes at the end of the book.

I felt so close to this story because of the way my life started. It made me think of all the sacrifices my mother had to do for me, all the changes she had to make in her life to give me the life she thought I deserved and then it made me feel blessed for having the best mother in the world. It also made me think of my dad, I didn't have any contact with him until I was 21 years old and up until I read this book. I never thought how much I missed him while I was growing up. I think Grace was so lucky to have such amazing parents, and I was so happy at the end when she told her dad how much she loved him.

“I love you, Dad.”
“Love you, too, Gracie.”

I admired Sydney for being so mature, for making the right decisions for her own sake and the baby she was going to have. Her love story with Ethan was so beautiful but also heartbreaking. He was so right for her, from the beginning I knew they were perfect for each other. I loved reading how their relationship was growing throughout the years.

You all need to read this amazing story. 100% recommended!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 4 STARS

Amy McFadden , Cristina Panfilio did great in their narrations. Perfect for their character’s POV.

Remember I told you that I downloaded the audiobook in my phone #2 And that I almost did not finish this book? Well, it was all phone #2’s fault! I usually use the Audible app, and I don't have it in the second device, so I used the audio companion of the kindle app and it was skipping the chapter names, whose chapter it was (Grace or Sydney) and I was so confused with that. But when I resumed listening to it at home, with the ebook in hand to read, everything was very clear.

Sure, If i liked to listen to books multiple times.

What about Amy McFadden and Cristina Panfilio ’s performance did you like?

Their voices are so alike I could tell the difference but they did a great job with this book.

Any additional comments?

Really cute read. The book itself was well written, mostly interesting but the ending was the selling point. I loved the ending. Good book to pass some time.

Amazing Story & Awesome Narration

I absolutely loved this book. The story is a fresh new story and the duly points of view make it even better. One Pink Line was very well written and both of the narrators did a fantastic job of making all the characters come to life.

Drew me in. Kept me engaged and well entertained during my commute time. Loved the way the two viewpoints were parallel, then brought together.

Hokey and predictable

not a very well thought out story. About the level of junior high writing. Somethings are off to as far as timing like sending text in 2002, edible arrangements in 1991. Sydney and Taylor for girls names that a graduated in 1987.
