Tiberius Flynn travels to Scotland with orders to snatch his young niece away from her Highland relations. He thinks it's going to be an easy task, until he meets the feisty little girl and her fiercely protective step-aunt. A smart, headstrong beauty, Hester Daniels has no use for an English lord with high-handed ways, no matter how handsome or beguiling he may be. Tye sets out to seduce Hester and win over Fiona, only to discover that he's losing his heart to a woman who's as untamable as Scotland itself.

I read this book, as I often do, before listening and enjoyed it both ways. I liked the unfolding of Tiberius' motivation and the building of their relationship. I also appreciated having a child character being a real person and not just a symbol. This is my second Grace Burrowes book and I am now a fan.
Roger Hampton delivered a great performance in my opinion. I loved his portrayal of the wordy, stuffy Tiberius as well as the sexy Tiberius. The female voices were fine for me as well. The challenge was Fiona's little girl voice, but I didn't find his performance of her distracting enough to diminish the book.
I eagerly await Book 3 and I will most certainly seek out more of Roger Hampton's narrations.
Did not disappoint! The narrator was wonderful. Spoke for each character in a way that individualize them with their own personality. The story was sensors yet romantic. I chuckled at some of the dialogue. It was real and honest. Thank you Grace for a wonderful story.
