Publisher's summary

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well - until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her...down to the very soul.

what a downer after fifty shades

first time listening to a book with accents, so maybe that was the hang up, but this just was not as tantalizing after finishing up 50 shades. granted fifty shades was not written as well, but the sex was way hotter in fifty shades. maybe I just dont care for the accent.

Great story and awesome narrator

Where does On Dublin Street rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best I've listened to so far.

Have you listened to any of Paula Costello’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first Paula Costello audio book and I think she's awesome. Her performance was spot on. Her ability to jump between accents - American, Scottish, English - was perfect. I was very impressed and very happy I got to listen to this book.

One of my favorite series

This is one of my favorite series. I read them first but once I saw it was available through Audible I had to get the audiobooks. I've read the series twice but listen to the audiobooks a lot more. I like to listen to audiobooks while I'm doing chores, crafts or playing games. This, in my opinion, was well done by the narrator. I'm an American so I can't comment if the narrator's Scottish accent was well done but it sounded good to me. I'm finishing the last few minutes of this book and moving on to the second book of the series, again. 😊 Samantha Young is an incredible writer and I enjoy her books.

So glad I pressed play!

I've had this audiobook in my library for a very long time and am kicking myself for waiting so long to have pressed play. This story is so well crafted and narrated, no wonder it was so popular when it came out. The flow of the action was well done, the character's chemistry was electric and the emotional angst was just right. Paula Costello performed an amazing narration and I would certainly love to see more narrations done by her. A+

A Good Story

On Dublin Street is a good romance story, but the story definitely aged from when it was originally published.

Hot for a Scot

I really enjoyed this one. I'm not a huge fan of Highland Romance novels and was a little nervous about this book being set in Scotland. Thankfully it was nothing like I expected and I now understand the allure of the Scottish hero. I really fell for Braden. This book is definitely smexy! Well worth a credit and then some.

Pleasant Surprise

I had read on many book blogs that On Dublin Street was one of the best romance books of 2012 and I have to agree. The storyline and characters are great. It has humor, romance and sadness as you watch Joss struggle with several issues. The narration was great too. I really enjoyed it!

Good Romance, or, "Where Can I find MY Braden?"

I really enjoyed this story. In my estimation it is well-written and well-done. I became engrossed and was able to connect with the characters which, after all, is the number one job of any "good" fiction book. I ejoyed and liked the characters, and felt the book was pretty well-plotted and paced. There were a few things you could see coming quite far ahead, (particularly regarding Ellie and her life), but that's not always a bad thing and I wouldn't take any credit away from this book for that. The narrator did an excellent job voicing the various characters, and seemed just the right tone for the main character Jocelyn.

Some time love found you when you were not looking

Would you listen to On Dublin Street again? Why?

Yes, I enjoyed Paulo Costello reading this book. I love the Scottish accent she did while reading this book.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how romantic Braden is. I love how he found for Jocelyn.

Have you listened to any of Paula Costello’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I think this is her 1st reading b/c I did not find any other books she had read.

Any additional comments?

Wow, I listened to this book. I love the reader voice with the Scottish accent. I read this book through e-book awhile ago and enjoyed it a lot. However while I listened to it, I found that Jocelyn can me such a coward at times and it drove me crazy.

My favorites quotes: I love Braden.
He jerked his eyes back to mine. "You look beautiful, Jocelyn." ... "But you need to put your hair up."... "Because," his voice was low, a deep purr he reserved for the bedroom, hence why I felt all the way down into my panties, "I like being the only man who knows how beautiful your hair is. How gorgeous you look with it down.:

"I spent last night going over and over the last six months in my head and I know that you're lying to my. I know you love me, Jocelyn, because there's no f**king way I can be this much in love with you, and not have you feel the same ways. It's not possible."
