Publisher's summary

Will Ludlam is tired of hiding. He doesn’t regret turning his back on his father’s cruel Tribunal legacy, but he never intended to live like this, secreted away with the vampires of Penton in their underground fortress, Omega. Charged with caring for bonded humans fleeing the vampire war, Will longs to join the fight. But first he must earn the trust of the beautiful soldier tasked with keeping Omega safe....

Randa Thomas is one of Penton’s newest lieutenants, a former US Army officer now devoted to the vampire rebellion. She has little patience for Will Ludlam, and can’t understand why the privileged son of one of the vampire elite has the trust of her scathe’s leaders. But as the Tribunal closes in and Omega prepares to make one last stand, Will’s polished charm - and Randa’s guarded heart - finally give way to the warrior within.

Omega is Mega Awesome

I really enjoyed the Penton Legacy. I thought all three books were well written and very unique (which is a huge feat for a vampire romance book). The characters feel so real and relatable that you begin to think the Penton scathe actually exists. And I want to be a bonded human!

I highly suggest reading Redemption (book 1) and Absolution (book 2) before picking this one up. You will not be disappointed. However, I think this book could stand on its own as well.

This is suppose to be a trilogy, but it is left open for more books or a spin-off. Here's hoping it's not the last of the Penton series.

Definitely worth a credit, but for under $10 it's a bargain.

PENTON WHERE PARANORMAL+HUMANS LIVE HARMONIOUSLY

Well my bags are packed and I'm ready to become a Bonded human in Penton Alabama where the Vampires are hot, needy and ohh sooo Alpha.

This was the conclusion to the series and therefore had several plots and lots of interesting sub plots going on but it was mainly Will's story (boy has he got his hands full) as he tries to come to terms with his past**, destroy his Father, continues to try prove himself worthy to the other residents of Penton and get down and dirty with his team member Randa. It's well written with the old familiar characters as well as surprising new ones, there's intrigue, action, conflict, surprising alliances, there was romance although I didn't find it as romantic as the previous books but it was a playful romance. The Tribunal had the final judgement over the wrongs and rights that were done at Penton.

Although it concluded it did leave certain things wide open either for another book (or two..... or more) or a new spin-off series - here's hoping.

Worth a credit? Come on..... If you've listened to the other 2 books then you've just got to get this, but for $9.79 I decided to buy it and save my credits for more costly books. As this is a conclusion to a series it's not a stand alone listen (so start at the beginning, download all 3 you won't be disappointed).

**A little warning - child abuse was mentioned and his evil tormentor is second in command to Will's Father, however it wasn't graphic or salacious but just part of the plot.

I'm still loving those Bama vampires!!

Would you listen to Omega again? Why?

Yes,this is an exciting new vampire series that I certainly will revisit. This book has introduced a new aspect to the story that is exciting. So I think this is going to make the Top 10 of my favorite vampire series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oh I love them ALL. That is what makes it all so good and the plus of meeting even more in this book.

Any additional comments?

This is worth a credit and I can't wait for the next book in the seires. It just keeps getting better.

Another great addition to the Penton Vampire story

love this series. From the first book I was hooked and it has only gotten better. In this story the third book of the series, we get to find out more about Will.

Will has been a secondary character up until now. He is a trusted member of the Penton community and has helped to design it and Omega. He has faced many challenges along his way, the main one being his father who is Penton's worst enemy.

We also get to find out more about Will's partner in patrols and his main conflict in the town - Randa. They just cant seem to agree on anything. But are consistently forced to work together. Randa is facing her own problems. She has not fully accepted her new life as a vampire and is just not sure it is what she wants to be. She also still worries about her family and misses her father and brothers. She is determined to not give up though and is trying to work though her issues to adjust.

At the same time the battle with Will's father is still going on. This causes quite a few issues with the Penton vampires and their bonded humans. Without trying to give spoilers from the previous two books I will just say we have a former character come back and a few deaths that do come together, to help take care of this ongoing battle and possibly lead to some new alternative ways for vampires to exist.

I do strongly recommend listening to them all if you like vampire tales. And they all go together perfectly to form a complete story arc about the town. I am hoping there is more to come where we get to learn more about some of the other characters we have met along the way.

To much attitude

While I am enjoying this series the narrator takes from it. The narrator made most of the characters sound like teenagers with bad attitudes. This is not the first book I have noticed this issue with. Going forward I will stay clear of any audiobook with this narrator.

Great ending.. But I want more..

Any additional comments?

Oh, my.. Such a great 3rd book. I only hope it's not the end of the series. I loved Will and Randa. Loved Cage and hope he gets a story. Was so glad when Shelton got his due and was sorry when Matthias was only arrested.
I read all three books in three days and I'm hoping for more.

Again the narration left a lot to be desired. Ms. McFadden sucks at doing the men's voices. This was Will's story and throughout the entire book he sounded like a girl. She did a great job with all the girls' voices but none of the men sounded like men. Such a shame.

Really great addition to the Penton Legacy series

Book 3 of the Penton Legacy and it featured Will is the only living child of the antagonist Mathias Ludlam, and Matthias was still bent of bring both Will and Aiden to heel.

In this book, we got a glimpse into Will's childhood with Matthias. We learned that he was such a wise-ass to hide a life of pain and insecurities. While it was the thing that made him clash with his partner Randa Thomas, a former military officer, who came to Penton after being turned. Randa had only been a vampire for five years, but she didn’t enjoy this new way of life and it annoyed her that Will found jokes in just about everything. After sharing being caught in an attack on Omega by Matthias, Randa and Will shared a few childhood stories, they starting seeing each other in a new light. Their romance was much less intense than Mirren and Glori’s courtship. Randa and Will were quite tentative in my opinion, but it is also nice not to have insta-romance. It was like watching a flower blossom.

What made this book different was that this book focused more on plot than the romance, and the story advanced to a new stage. I am excited at the development of Omega Force, but I still uneasy with Matthias Ludlam alive. As long as he is alive, Penton residents will never be safe. Will's book was good but not as good as Mirren's book. But pretty darn close. Wil l's book was good but not as good as Mirren's book. But pretty darn close.

I didn’t know this author before this series, but I am going to be checking out her work from now on. I was supposed to read a book a month with this series, but obviously I kept going because I just had to keep reading. I am looking for the next book “Deliverance” with newest Lieutenant Cage Reynolds because this series hasn't had a love triangle yet...and so this should be good.

The narration is really good on this series. I listened to this book in 2 days.

Great read!!

Though I like the previous ones better than this one, i still enjoyed it. Or maybe because i have been building this up in my head for so long in anticipation that it didn't meet my expectation. But here go my review:

What i love about this book:

1.) Action Packed
2.) Character's developments.
3.) Good Plots
4.) Good Dialogues
5.) Smooth transition from the previous book to this one.

What i don't like about this book:

1.) The chemistry between the hero and the heroine has a bit of a too much too fast scenario going on. I would love it if Susannah Sandlin dragged it out a bit... give them both some emotional challenges. I know they were destined to be together but give them some obstacles, don't just throw them together u know... make it into a meal. Not just a drive through.. if u know what i mean?

2.) Both new and old characters seem to b too perfect? They seem to blend in together into a single voice at some point. I mean everyone were too devoted to one another. Too driven, too selfless that it's no longer believable?

3.) This story is read from too many different people's perspectives that at some point i don't feel like William and Rhonda are the center anymore.

But i still gave an overall 5 star review. I like the book and i enjoyed. Not as much as the previous ones, but i liked it. Recommended!
