Publisher's summary

Sophie Katz's relationship with the irresistible and occasionally insufferable P.I. Anatoly Darinsky is on the fritz when a friend recruits Sophie's investigation skills to decode her possibly two-timing husband's strange behavior. When Sophie shows up in a short, red cocktail dress and her friend's hubby winds up dead, the loveable would-be sleuth can't help but take on the job.

Suddenly plunged into a crazy world of campaign mudslinging, dirt-digging, and cover-ups, Sophie begins to uncover some pretty dirty secrets indeed, involving a conservative congressional hopeful's involvement in the Furry community, a group of people who dress up in mascot-size stuffed animal costumes. Sex and politics, wouldn't you know?

Way in over her head as usual, Sophie reluctantly, or not-so-reluctantly, enlists the help of her two-time sidekick and ex, Anatoly. Together they set out to determine who killed Eugene and why, and in the process can't resist falling for each other...again?

Solve another case with Sophie.

Has some modest charm

I almost abandoned this one, finding the protagonist juvenile, vapid and brassy, but it eventually began to grow on me. There's some genuine wit beneath the nonsense, and the character is wide-open honest about her own faults. On the silly side, but it manages to be worth the purchase.

AUDIO: Zackman has her flaws, but she understands her role and renders it well.

Funny and entertaining!

After listening to the previous books and getting to know the characters I was impressed of how funny this book was, not that the other books weren't but this one actually had me laughing out loud. Enjoyed the time I spent following Sophie in this adventure.

Half a tear

Corny. I laughed. I shed half a tear at the end. And most of all, I learned things about sexual proclivities and politics I never imagined or thought or expected to learn from an enjoyable fluff murder mystery series like this; ever. Well played. Oh...and we’re getting deeper into what it is to be minority...if only in small chunks... Good stuff.

REALLY DARK REVELATIONS

I just can't get enough of Kyra's books. I am really upset that there is only one more Sophie Katz novel to listen to, but I am going to listen to her other books too.

I never considered myself to be naive or lacking in worldly knowledge but this book sent me to Google to see if this was only Kyra's imagination or if this world really existed - guess what, it does.

Another great and wonderful book from Kyra. Please continue to write Sophie Katz books.

Furry love gone wrong

Book 3 in the Sofie Katz series is great. Kyra Davis keeps us fully engaged into Sofie world. I again could not put this down. Gabra Zackman does a wonderful job of narrating this series. Very entertaining.⚘⚘⚘

Brain snack, slightly past expiration date

No great literature, but a cute story. It was entertaining, the main characters were likeable and the reading was good.

Some of the dialogue was stilted and unrealistic. "Spaz" as an insult didn't age well.

Mysterious and Funny

All the books in the series have been light and humorous. I like the mildness of the intimate situations. I did figure out the killer pretty quickly in the one. Love that Mr Katz was heroic🥰

Loved it!

Really good mystery. Laugh-out-loud funny. Best I've read since the Janet Evanovich "Plum" series. You won't be disappointed.

I loved it!

I've read all three of the books in this series and they are fantastic! This author is hilarious and still manages to keep the suspense! And I actually look for books read by Gabra Zackman now because I love the way she narrates as well
