Enjoyable!

This 6th book in the Clover Park Series is an enjoyable and entertaining story. Vince and Sophia are both stubborn, highly motivated and passionate. Their relationship is explosive, frustrating at times and comically entertaining! It also includes characters from the previous book adding to the story of this dynamic couple. Every book in this series is fun and so entertaining, I continue to look forward to the next one. Charles Lawrence’s narration always adds to the enjoyment, as usual.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Clover Park series written by Kylie Gilmore and narrated by Charles Lawrence. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. He did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Highly entertaining!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I absolutely would recommend this audiobook to my friends because listening to them makes me feel like I'm right in the middle of the action standing right next to these delightfully obstinacy but lovable characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really enjoyed getting to know more about Vince. At first he appears to be an alley cat without many morals and while he always satisfies his women in the bedroom, he's clueless about what they need outside of the bedroom. Yet, underneath all of that bravado is a kind hearted teddy bear who takes his responsibilities and his relationships very seriously and he works hard to make his father proud of him and to be everything that Sophia says she needs in a man.

What does Charles Lawrence bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I absolutely adore Charles Lawrence's narration because he perfectly captures the essence of the characters and he seamlessly switches back and forth between Vince's booming macho male voice and Sophia's feminine and spunky voice in a way that often makes me forget he's the solo narrator. And I have to admit that when it comes to the intimate scenes in the book his voice has a wonderful effect on me. I swooned every time "Vince" growled Sophia's name!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes! When Vince finally came clean with Sophia about where he was going and what he was doing when he kept leaving her bed in the wee hours of every Saturday morning. He's a very compassionate and caring man beneath that beautifully muscled sexy lumberjack body! I was also very moved when he finally let Sophia see his confusion and regret about his past behavior with both his mother and stepmother.

Any additional comments?

The union of Kylie Gilmore's Clover Park romantic comedies and Charles Lawrence's amazing vocal talents is amazing and if you haven't heard it for yourself you have no idea how much fun you're missing.

Vince and Sophia

Any additional comments?

The sixth book in the Clover Park series is just as good as the rest! I am addicted to this series! Vince is a gruff, player. Sophia is a beautiful, smart woman. They meet when they are both representing their fathers' companies. They are a little like Romeo and Juliet because their fathers hate each other and own competing companies. Despite this Vince and Sophia can't fight their attraction to each other. I loved how Vince changed his playboy ways and you got to see his soft interior when it came to Sophia! I loved how strong a Sophia was! They made an amazing couple! I would definitely recommend this book!!

Vincent and Sophia, an unlikely couple.

What did you love best about Not My Romeo?

What I love best about this story is how love can make a person change dramatically in an instant when possibly standing to lose someone close to their heart.

What other book might you compare Not My Romeo to and why?

There are so many books out there that parts of this story can be compared to. But this story of Vince and Sophia is in a category all its own. When you try to compare with other books, it is possible, but really because of its own unique story line twist, you come to find that you don't want to compare it to anything else. I love the individuals in this book because they all compliment each other throughout the story. And as you get into it more and more, you fall in love with each and every person that it is about. Vince and Sophia's love is truly one of a kind.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part is when Vince tells Sophia for the first time that he loves her and she is surprised by his declaration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I truly did want to just sit and listen to this book in one shot. Unfortunately because of life, I was unable to do so.

Any additional comments?

I hope you all enjoy the story of Vincent and Sophia becoming an unlikely couple as much as I did. This book truly was a treat to read and Charles Lawrence once again was outstanding in his narration performance of Not My Romeo.

Another winner for Ms Gilmore

Where does Not My Romeo rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Mr Charles Lawrence did a great job in narrating the story. The different voices used were consistent and you always knew who was speaking

What did you like best about this story?

Both characters are strong individuals , tough on the outside and softies on the inside. Their loyalty to family spoke volumes of their integrity and love.

Which character – as performed by Charles Lawrence – was your favorite?

Wow, impossible to choose a favorite. Both Sofia and gruffy Vince were great.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh, and at times sad. But it also reminded me of the value of family

Any additional comments?

Both Ms Gilmore and Mr Lawrence did a great job. I want to read more of the author's books, and know that if I come across a book narrated by Mr Lawrence, it will be a winner

Vince & Sophia

What about Charles Lawrence’s performance did you like?

I always enjoy listening to Charles!

Any additional comments?

Vince is a gruff man but he hides deep pain from when he was a child. His brothers always said it would take a strong woman to put up with him. Sophia is fire and challenges Vince at every turn. She is not what he ever expected and is everything he always needs.
