So she sets out to find a special man to father her child, someone without too much gray-matter between his ears: in short, a big, strong dope. Cal Bonner, legendary pro quarterback, seems to fit the bill. But there's something Dr. Jane hasn't counted on: he's no dumb jock. And he's not about to get used and abused by a baby-mad schemer.

"A sensual, heartwarming story." (Library Journal)
I read and really liked three other books by this author, but this one was not good. This book was pretty much the same story line as This Heart of Mine, except with a poor story line and very unlikely conflict elements. If you want to read good books by this author, I would recommend sticking to Natural Born Charmer or Match Me if You Can - much better stories and characters. I do like the way that the same characters keep showing up in other stories though, so if you want to know the whole sequence of events, this will give you a little back story on Kevin Tucker.
OMG! this is a horrible book. It is full of emotional and physical abuse. Can't find anything positive to say. Wish I hadn't wasted a credit on this trash!
I listened to this one while I was at work, and I was impressed at how much research SEP must have had to do to portray Jane the scientist. Another great book here with the awesome Anna Fields narrating. Funny at times, and as always SEP delivers a great love story.
Another good book from Susan Elizabeth Phillips, maybe one of her best! I liked this book so much that when I finished, I listened again to catch anything I might have missed the first tiem around. I love audio books for fitness company and to entertain me when I do house chores. On to my next book...
This book made laugh out loud, constantly! I loved the character's and I loved the way Anna Fields narrated it. I have just downloaded Susan Philips other books that are in this series, I can't wait to listen to them.
Nobody's Baby But Mine is another winner for the Chicago Stars fans who follow SEP's series. This time she pits a "nerdy" girl with the ultimate "male" and yes! The characters are interesting and real. The plot is romance with a wry sense of comedy. Anna Fields is again a superb narrator.
I love all SEP's books but this is one of my favs.
There is one guaranteed way to make me stop reading any romance novel. That is for the nominal "hero" to bully women and make them afraid of physical violence, especially when one of those women is the nominal "heroine" who will undoubtedly turn around later and fall in love with him. I'm sad to say that this book falls into that category.
I can't say enough about how I enjoy SEP books, and the combination with Anna Fields reading them--they are so funny and enjoyable.
A mom, a wife, a friend, a happy ending addict, an audiobook junkie, a wine lover and geek wanna -be. I'm constantly looking to be blown away.
SEP and Anna Fields!!! what a great combination!!! What is not to love about this two?
Love to read. So much in fact that I've become a writer. I have fifteen published Christian romances.
I truly enjoyed this book and the ending was great. I have four more SEP books on my wish list.
