Publisher's summary

The second installment in Kresley Cole’s best-selling steamy Immortals After Dark series is now available on audio for the first time!

Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire - a nightmare in his mind - against his will. Burdened with hatred and alone for ages, he sees little reason to live - until an exquisite, fey creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead.

When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow - accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters Sebastian, her feelings - particularly lust - emerge multiplied. For the first time, she’s unable to complete a kill.

The prize of the month-long contest is powerful enough to change history, and Kaderin will do anything to win it for her sisters. Wanting only to win her, forever, Sebastian competes as well, taking every opportunity - as they travel to ancient tombs and through catacombs, seeking relics around the world - to use her new feelings to seduce her. But when forced to choose between the vampire she’s falling for and reuniting her family, how can Kaderin live without either?

Love this series!

This is my 2nd time listening to the series, and it's even better than I remember! Kresley has an amazingly creative brain and I'm thrilled she's sharing it! Of course the stories wouldn't be so fabulous without the vocal talent of Robert Petkoff. That man's voice makes me swoon!

Wickedly Hot

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. The story is original, considering how many pararomanices are out there. Valkaries aren't supposed to fall in love, but this one did and did hard. It's nice to see her knocked off her foundation by the hero.

What other book might you compare No Rest for the Wicked to and why?

Kresely Cole has a whole series with the Valkaries. This is the second book in that series and it's completely different from the first one. I would say this one's like Dark Lover by J.R Ward, in terms of character strength and development. As far as dealing with preternatural elements and making them unique, I would compare that attribute to Deveil May Cry by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The accents. I love the accents. There's nothing like it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but it's a pivital part of the book and I won't ruin it for the rest of you. It's at the end and there's a lot of revealation/acceptance of the main characters.

Any additional comments?

Keep an ice pack ready. You'll need it for the steamy love scenes and the heavy fight scenes.

Great writing, full of fun and sexual delight

I loved this book, played it over and over again, well worth the money or the credit. Kresley Cole can spin a great tale, full of fun and sexy delight. Book is self contained but treads to gather in the whole series in a very smooth tale. would like to see all of Kresley Cole books in audible. Robert Petkoff kicks ass in narrated, he is one of the best.

Can never get tired of the immortal after dark series!! Robert is the perfect narrator for the entire series also as he can do so many different voices it's amazing and his female voices are good also. It was good to listen to all tje books many year's later after reading them, i still have all the paper backs i just wish she would add to the series maybe years later about all their children.

Finally!

I have been waiting for audio versions of this series since like 2000! I am so glad that we are finally getting them. This book is full of action, drama, and firey women! I love a good strong female lead. I hate a weak woman and you will not find one in this book. Worth every single penny!

Hard to put down

Would you listen to No Rest for the Wicked again? Why?

Yes. It was well written. The action, the passion, the challenges, the humanity of these characters magnified by their immortality makes for an enjoyable venture. The narrator was wonderful.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sebastian. He is THE ALPHA male. gorgeous, smart, sensitive, possessive yet loving, generous, considerate lover, strong but gentle with his mate, and compassionate with those who are in need of understanding. I want a Sebastian, PLEASE.

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Always good.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Sebastian was willing to give up his life-mate so that she could have her hearts desire...

Any additional comments?

Very good.
