Very Good

Would you listen to No Place to Run again? Why?

Yes, it's a very good listen. Also its a series and I always like to re-visit the good ones. I'm looking foward to book 3.

Have you listened to any of Harry Berkeley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, he never disappoints.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like it when Sam interacts with the baby as she kicked within the womb. Thats just too sweet.

Any additional comments?

It's worth the credit or purchase. I'm looking foward to getting the others in this series. I liked this one much better than the first one in this series.

Much much better than Book 1! Whew!

There were only two things I took issue with in this book.
1- The beginning had a ridiculously long sex scene that became tedious rather than exciting.
2- The story arc on Sophie's ultimate release, was a lazy out, and should have had more explanation of the passage of time it took for Thomas' vengeance.
Overall the story had substance and heart, and is a much better story than the first one. I found myself laughing, being anxious, and smiling in all the right places.
I highly recommend it. Thanks, MB.

Finally I have the whole series

This was the last book of this series to be put on audio. I have very low vision and can not read print so I was excited to see it. It was worth the wait! If you are a series fan as I am and you like your romance with suspense and a few twists, I recommend these books highly. I do think it helps to listen to them in order now that they are all here. The books do work on their own however.
I love listening to Harry. He is one of my favorite readers!

IF YOU KEEP WRITING THEM - I'LL KEEP ENJOYING THEM

Occasionally we come across a series that is just so addictive you frantically look for the next book in the series to see .... 1) if it's been written yet then .... 2) when it's going to be released and finally .... 3) beg Audible to get it - well KGI is one of those series.

Sam is the Leader of the elite KGI Special Ops team - a band of Kelly brothers (and their team) fight against all that's corrupt and bad that Governments can't or won't touch - and with any luck, find the one person along the way that will make their tough existence complete. Sam's undercover mission gives him the chance to meet a lovely waitress for a few nights of hot sex - sadly, little does he know the player is being played but either way both players lose ........ but there's still a chance to win the biggest jackpot of their lives.

Filled to the brim with great characters who involve themselves in a typical MB plot (although not so hot as other series) there's passion, mild (for her) sex, intrigue, deception, action, suspense coupled with some thrills and chills along with an emotional desperate fight for survival of, not only one, but two lives.

Worth a credit? I suspect for all of the forthcoming KGI books (and long may they continue) it's going to be an auto download and an auto credit well spent, so that my fellow listeners, is a YES.

A woman is just a vessel

Well, I suppose this is a step up from book 1. The thriller side is somewhat better written and Sophie isn’t nearly as damaged and weak as the previous book’s Rachel. There’s also more action. The narrator moved farther from the mic, eliminating the smacking, swallowing and breaths.

But, there were still a few things I didn’t like:
-What brought Sam and Sophie together other than sex and pregnancy? The story spends zero time showing what, if anything, they have in common except sex and her carrying his child. And not “their” child. From the moment Sophie reappears, obviously pregnant, Sam is uttering caveman statements about how that baby is his and he protects what’s his.
-The nonsense plots continue. If you were a crime lord’s daughter wanting to escape the life, why would you take something that the family has to have in order to for the crime family to continue to operate? That just guarantees you’ll be forever hunted. Sophie is happy Sam killed for her, but worries what he’ll think if he knew she killed someone too. Sam charges into danger without a plan, just like book 1’s Ethan; when exactly are we going to see a professional KGI operation?

I suppose I should be more forgiving. This is romance, after all.
I guess I just needed a little less eyeroll and a little more substance.

Disappointed

I enjoyed the story and characters of this book. However, the language and sex are unnecessarily crude. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that represents romance. I would not recommend this book to friends male or female. It's a shame because the author could have a much larger reading audience by displaying some tact.

Good book, bad beginning

The beginning was crude more than sensual. I almost quit after the first chapter.
Very good narrator.
Worth getting past the first few chapters.

Fireworks on the run

The strong sexy alpha males are at it again. This time it’s tough guy Sam the leader of the KG group who breaks his own rules and fall for Sophie. If you like a story with danger and a hot romantic entanglement that is well paced then this is story for you. You’ll find yourself cheering for the good guys. Worth a credit
