Publisher's summary

Computer security specialist Elizabeth Martinez has never been able to turn her back on her brother Benny. When his risky lifestyle finally lands him in harm's way, Elizabeth finds herself dragged into the dangerous underworld with him and into the cross hairs of one of Miami's death-dealing drug lords. Only after her ex-boyfriend saves her does she realize she might have no choice but to depend on the one man she has tried so desperately to forget.

Former Marine Porter Caldwell never should have let Elizabeth walk away from him all those months ago. She means more to him than anything and now that she's in danger and turned to him for help, he won't make that mistake again. When a local gang targets her and she's nearly killed in a drive by shooting, Porter vows to do whatever it takes to keep her alive. Even if it means turning his back on all that he's sworn to uphold.

Band of Brothers, "yeaah"

Would you consider the audio edition of No One to Trust to be better than the print version?

Yes as I purchased this book due to Pyper Down reading it. I did not start with this book so I did not agree with other reviewer of having to get use to this reader. Grant's story is so sweet.

What did you like best about this story?

bossy hero and when he binds our heroine's feet, I was lost. These are fast pace, sexy short stories. If you have to have every detail spelled out, then these are not for you.

What about Pyper Down’s performance did you like?

Her low male voices are not deep, but she sure does make our hero and his brothers just plain yummy and I mean hot and sexy. Pyper knows how to pace her read to the material and she knows when to draw out a word that really makes the heros sexy. So many of the readers have a high pitch voice and no male voice at all. The author's work can not make up for a slow pace and bad reader.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

these are too short for a film, but this could be midnight run

Any additional comments?

Not sure why these stories are short, but they are great. Author has what it takes to write a fast pace short story that makes you want to own all of the brothers/ team stories. I purchased them based on the reader! I have one of this author's longer stories read by Isabelle Gordon and the story was good, and I own all of I.G. reads as she too makes the hero sexy and yummy. I hope you enjoy these SHORT listens as much as I have.

Ok

Would you try another book from Katie Reus and/or Pyper Down?

Yes, I would try other books by Katie Reus and narrations by Pyper Down but I wouldn't be rushing out to do so.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I was quite disappointed in this story. It was more of a romance with only a little bit of suspense. It started out well but it quickly became a romance story with more than one erotic scene which I fast forwarded through. The story line was resolved too quickly and all the action happened behind the scenes which made the story fall a little bit flat for me. It could have been better developed rather than being told simply that the bad guys were arrested. A disappointing romantic suspense.
The narration was OK. I can understand other reviewers saying it sounded quite robotic. I found it easier to listen to when I sped up the narration.

Awesome romantic suspense

The story is well written, dragging the reader into the nail biting suspense and the run for your life story. The characters come to life off of the pages. With danger lapping at every turn. Highly recommend the audible edition.
