Flower shop owner Alexa Conroy had it all before the recession hit and her customers fled to cheaper shopping grounds. Desperate to make ends meet, she sells her dream home and moves into the rundown apartments above her shop. When she spots six feet of sexy distraction - complete with muscles, piercings, and tattoos - ripping up flooring, Alexa knows the karmic windfall she's due just landed on her doorstep. And the attraction's definitely not one-sided.
Dillon James, reluctant heir to the corporation about to foreclose on Alexa's shop, is not about to jeopardize their scorching chemistry by admitting he's not the building's handyman. But with only weeks until her business goes under and his identity is revealed, Dillon must find a way to convince Alexa cooperation isn't a dirty word, help her save the shop from his brother's greed, and persuade her that he's not the enemy - or risk losing the only woman who's seen the real him.

I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
This was a quick and predictable story, it's a story about good intentions which sadly and inevitably backfire, a listen with sex and romance and a listen that was light, fun and easygoing. As I said, it was predictable.... but I couldn't have predicted what an ungrateful b'tch Alexa would turn out to be when Dillon finally fessed up.... there there never mind Dillon come on round to my place - there's plenty of buffing, banging and 'fixing' you can do here.
Nice sexy Hero, good dual POV storyline that'll make you smile, there were sizzles and sex and it was well narrated - however Alexa's stubborn HATRED of Value Hardware was extreme and her business skills were a bit lacking as she blamed them for everything instead of upping her own game. And it took a very handy Handyman to show her the way to success - but, when that Handyman turns into being one of the rich Prince's of Value Hardware, the whole thing blows up in their faces.
Worth a credit? I didn't like the Heroine much but the hot tattooed and thoughtful Hero more than made up for her stubborn pigheadedness and the story was lighthearted, sexy and easy to listen to. Yes, I would have used a credit but at under $10 I didn't have to because I just bought it and saved the credit for a longer and costlier listen.
