Stormwalker Janet Begay, proprietor of the Crossroads Hotel - a place where the paranormal stop for a safe night's rest - discovers the hard way that a slayer is targeting Ansel, a Nightwalker who's become a more-or-less permanent resident. When Janet and her boyfriend, Mick, intervene to save Ansel's un-life they find that the attack is the beginning of an oncoming storm. Janet has her hands full already with the upcoming marriage of her father, her crazy half-sister, the return of a woman who claims to be Coyote's wife, a couple dragons on her back, and her worry about Mick, who's behaving strangely again.
But it seems that everyone is after Ansel, who fears he killed the woman he loves in a Nightwalker frenzy. Janet must choose between protecting Ansel or facing the most powerful magical beings in the world, who are willing to destroy Janet, Mick, her hotel, and everyone she cares about to get to Ansel and his secrets.

"This fourth outing forces Janet to solve a mystery and face the ultimate temptation. From the first book, this amazing series has been a pitch-perfect blend of riveting characters, Native American mythology, incredible thrills and romantic drama." (T Book Reviews)
I am addicted to audiobooks. It makes my 1 hour (each way) commute go by without me becoming an agressive driver. lol
I love this series. Allyson James is an awesome story teller and Hillary Huber is a wonderful narrator. Allyson gives you a thrill, suspense and romantic novel. I was hooked from the first word of this book. Wonderful read. Janet and Mick continue their awesome story. The entire cast is awesome. Allyson gives you such detail for each of the characters that you end up intimately familiar with each. Ms. James gives you a magnificent story. The excitement is hard to contain. The suspense and thrill will keep you on the end of your seat and your pulse racing. This book has tasteful romance. Not any raunchy sex. Awesome paranormal series. Gonna be so sorry when it ends.
a fantastic array of characters. I love the Indian background and the magic. I definitely will be looking into Reading More by this author.
a very unique way of adding all the supernatural elements into one storyline. Really enjoyed the characters they were all well defined. At times, I did find the narration a little comical, with the change of voices, sometimes irritating but overall a great experience
Interesting fantasy world bound to the beliefs of the people indigenous to SW desert areas of the USA. I am familiar with a little of this from reading Hillerman, but that did not limit my enjoyment of the book. The Nightwalker of the title is an unwilling vampire who has found an ancient dangerous magical pot, and has put himself, his girlfriend, and all of the area and more into serious danger. Janet Begay is the Stormwalker who is the main character in this book and in the series. Her significant other is a dragon when not in human form. There are plot twists and action aplenty to keep the reader mumbling "Just one more chapter, then I'll go....."
Hillary Huber gives an excellent performance as Janet, and also gives voice and adds depth to each of the other characters.
Lucky enough to have gotten it on the cheap.
Love listening to books and walking. Connected to Audible at least 6 hours a day.
A very good listen, the whole series is worthwhile listen. I enjoyed them thoroughly.
"Mercy Thomposon/ Jane Yellowrock/Urban Saman fans"
Nightwalker: Stormwalker, Book 4 Allyson James performance 5 story 4 but probably would have been a 5 if I'd been able to get books 1 - 3 on Audible UK. Another Indian Shaman story but still completely engaging for all that this idea has been used by other authors. Stormwalker Janet Begay, proprietor of the Crossroads Hotel - a place where the paranormal stop for a safe night's rest - discovers the hard way that a slayer is targeting Ansel, a Nightwalker who's become a more-or-less permanent resident. I'd recommend this to any Mercy Thomposon/ Jane Yellowrock/C.E Murphy fan. You can come in at the fourth book as I did but I'd have liked to get this from book one if I could have and felt I was missing out by not being able to listen to the rest of the series which I would definitely have bought based off this book.
