Woah, did not expect that

Wow, def didn't expect that little twist. Out of all the lore in the world, I didn't expect Amy to be "other." It was a nice twist and I'm glad Marcus was able to get over Bethany with Amy~

Chrisi

The story is great. The narration would be just as wonderful but I simply cannot get past someone who pronounces the "O" in opossum and says "Booie" instead of Bowie knife. And for the love of god, how can someone not know that there are silent letters in the English language. I know some people argue about the Bowie pronunciation but it's Bowie, saying it the other way does not sound cool or special, just foolish.

Good Book but a Little Preachy

Liked the book but I was a little put off by the preaching of vegetarianism, recycling, etc. It's not that I disagree with the concept, but I don't particularly care for it in my fantasy books. I also found it a little unbelievable that an Immortal would own a Prius. Hot men drive a Jag, Hummer, Mercedes, etc., but not a Prius!
Otherwise, I thought this book, and the first in the series were very good and I plan to buy the third when it is released.

Darness Dawns and Night Reigns are great books

I read both books in this series in 3 days. These books were very entertaining and worth the credits. The narrator did a pretty good job. I reccomend both books and am looking forward to the next one.

It was ok - didn't care for the 'reveal'

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Didn 't mind the ending but there was a part that felt a little 'off' to me. Without giving anything away, I was all into it until a big 'reveal' which was a little off to me.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

I think she does a great job with the different voices and really makes me feel that there are different people playing those parts.

Story ended abruptly

I really enjoyed this story and it had a few interesting twist that are unusual in the books I tend to read. The only thing that threw me off is the abrupt ending. Nothing was really resolved. I felt that a little too much was focused on their romance and backstory that the conflict got pushed to the side.

Hot Love and Cool Twist

Marcus, so forlorn for so many centuries, never to have the woman he has loved from afar. Then a new woman is set in his path. Of course Mr Snarky Marcus doesn't want her: at first. This is definitely a love story for the ages. I love that Dianne Duvall has placed continuity at the forefront of her books. The performer makes the words leap right off the 'page' into my heart. I laughed out loud, I cried, and I couldn't wait for the twist. In fact I kept telling the book to tell me the secret too.
I think this combination of author Dianne Duvall and performer Kirsten Potter is absolute dynamite!
