Publisher's summary

Am I just attracted to a woman I can't have? Or is Olivia the one who has the power to bring me to my knees once and for all?

Our singer Alex landed our band on every major gossip tabloid and website with his crazy antics. Now, we're tasked with running an insane amount of press to run damage control with the hopes of cleaning up our image.

So when this chick Olivia Grant showed up - representing yet another magazine - I expected to hear the same lazy questions we'd been getting for months.

Man, was I wrong. Not only was she way smarter than anyone else we'd talked to in the press, but she caught me off guard - somehow she was able to resist my charms, and I gotta tell you, you could smell and taste the electricity and sexual tension between us.

One night after a few rounds of drinks, we found ourselves alone together. Before we knew it, we dismantled every bit of resistance and doubt and were fully committed to being absolutely consumed by a night of pure debauchery and pleasure.

I've never been the long-term relationship type, but for sex this absolutely mind-blowing and life changing, I'm willing to compromise - but how do I convince her that she's different than all the others and that she alone is my addiction?

Smooth Nick

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, I'm becoming a fan of Jade Allen's writing and an even bigger fan of D.C Cole performance.

What did you like best about this story?

I love Jade's writing, it flows and easy to read, doesn't feel forced and just so real. And the guys sense of humour in this series it just great, Nick was a fun read.

What does D. C. Cole bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is the second book in this series that I've listen to with D.C. Cole, and I've become a fangirl. He is super talented, every emotion that the characters feel he expressed it beautifully and makes it real for us the listener.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I'm hopeless at answering this question, the only tag lines that come to my mind are not appropriate.. 😂😂

Good short listen

Nick is a rock star and used to getting what he wants. What he wants now is Olivia. Olivia is trying to do her job as a music reporter and the last thing she needs is a rock star interfering with her work. Nick was not a bad guy, I just hate when people put their own satisfaction above that of the other character. Olivia didn't want to look bad in front of her colleagues by getting involved with Nick but Nick didn't care. Even though he was nice, I think he should have had more respect for her feelings. Overall this was a nice listen. I liked Olivia and Nick as a couple and the resolution to the story was a good one. The narrator D.C. Cole did a good job as the narrator and I look forward to more of his work.

Really Nice!

I totally read this story straight through. It's a short story so, it wasn't difficult.

I'd never read anything by this author. It was offered as an ARC. And, I was sort of skeptical. I listened to the sample and the narrators voice and delivery tipped the scales and I took a chance. I'm always looking for new authors. And, WOW! I really liked this book. It was a little gritty, but not too much. Characters were well developed. And, honestly, for a short story, it was pretty darn complete. Of course I would love for it to be longer, but it wasn't because the story was lacking and needing more development, which happens too often in short stories.
And, the narrator?! D.C. Cole was fantastic. It was definitely a perfect marriage of a good story and a good narrator. I rarely give out 5 stars but have given out 2 today.

not as good as the 1st one but OK

this is a short fast story. If you read the first book, I am sure you will like this one.
It has the same band mates, and this one is about anther member of the band.
It wasn't a bad story, I just liked the first one better.

Where Is The Story?

Nick meets Olivia and she is the smartest person he has ever met. He wants to be with her forever but that is not his normal style and she would not ever settle for the life of rock star.

This is the perfect book for someone who enjoys graphic descriptions of sex. As other reviewers have pointed out, there was little to no plot that I could find in the 20 chapters. This is book number two in the series, I may have had a different outtake had I read the first book 1st.

D.C. Cole's narration was exceptional and I give her props for not hyperventilating as she read the plethora of sexual scenes written by the author.

There isn't much of a review here, but given the book was only two hours long and the publishers review (above) left little to nothing to the imagination.

In my opinion, this is one of those "filler" books in a series. The first book is a full length novel, the second book is fluff & filler (to sell books) and the third book is good. This book did not move any/the plot along, but again, that is my opinion. Others seem to really like it.

Didn't catch my interest

While I found the first book in this series to be entertaining and offering conflict and resolution. I couldn't get into Nick's book that much. I found his and Olivia's relationship to be centered mainly on how well they could please each other in bed. The storyline on this fell flat for me unfortunately and I found myself wanting to skip over the numerous descriptive bedroom scenes and Nick's fascination with her body many times throughout.

Olivia's insecurity and disbelief that Nick could choose her were constant, yet she falls into his bed at every turn. It was like no,yes, hmm, no then yes again before it culminates at the end of the book with her job as a reporter for her magazine not going too well.

The narration was well done, so I was disappointed with the story for not hitting the right note for me. I did like that all the band members were part of this story and played a bigger part than before.

I would try this again at a later date to see if second readings change my mind. My thanks to the audiobooks for review team for a copy of this book for an honest review.

A Rock Band Member's Romance..

Any additional comments?

* a Few Spoilers *

Nick, the male lead, is used to the rock star life and the fast girl groupie types, so basically, he is not into relationships.

Now enters Olivia, the female lead, she is there to do an interview on the band for a magazine and she is not at all what Nick expects.

Olivia is determined not to be another notch on Nick's belt.

He and the other band members enjoy her style of interviewing.
Nick likes being with her so much, he finds himself wanting to just hang and get to know her better.

The band wants her to join them on the tour bus for the next six months while they tour.

She accepts yet she is very cautious around Nick because she is starting to have feelings for him.

Things get interesting and heat up.

This is a standalone story but more background is provided if the first book is read.

D. C. Cole did a really good job with the narration.

Book two leaves you wanting more!

This series is nothing short of a good time. The story is of Nick, another of Molly Riot's band members who falls for journalist, Olivia. She is beautiful, smart, funny and able to keep up with all the guys in the band. She immediately attracts Nick, and he is now on a mission to get to know her better. Olivia does not want to be another woman to add to Nick's total. She has a one night stand with him, much against her better judgement and is determined not to continue. Nick gets her to be the journalist for the band's tour, and now things really heat up. Can Olivia and Nick go the distance? The band is betting on them...but you won't know unless you read the book. It's fun, well developed plot and characters and hot sex! I love that it intertwines characters from the first book. While a stand alone, it's best to read the first one to have the background on Alex and Mary.

DC Cole...what a voice. It's the perfect gravelly mixture of sensuality and sex. He performs this series incredibly.
