Publisher's summary

Once a devoted children's librarian, Jane Jameson now works at a rundown occult bookstore. Once a regular gal, she's now a vampire. And instead of a bride, she's an eternal bridesmaid -- which leads her to question where exactly her relationship with her irresistibly sexy sire, Gabriel, is headed. Mercurial, enigmatic, apparently commitment-phobic vampires are nothing if not hard to read. While Jane is trying to master undead dating, she is also donning the ugliest bridesmaid's dress in history at her best friend Zeb's Titanic-themed wedding. Between a freaked-out groom-to-be, his hostile werewolf in-laws, and Zeb's mother, hell-bent on seeing Jane walk the aisle with Zeb, Jane's got the feeling she's just rearranging the proverbial deck chairs.

Meanwhile, Half Moon Hollow's own Black Widow, Jane's Grandma Ruthie, has met her match in her latest fiance. He smells like bad cheese and has a suspicious history of dead spouses. But Jane's biting her tongue. After all, would a nice girl really think she has a future with a vampire?

Easy entertainment but somewhat predictable!!!!

I really enjoy this series!!
Even though I could predict what was going to happen. I still found it enjoyable and it kept me entertained. Perhaps part of the draw to this series is that Jane has family drama a good portion of us could relate to. Making things believable!

Something about the main character, Jane and Amanda Ronconi just click.!! I look forward to reading book 3.

What a crack up!

I love Molly Harper's Jane Jameson series. This series hits all my buttons: comedy, drama, mystery, romance, and best of all, a snarky female lead! Amanda Ronconi does a fabulous job with the narration. I thoroughly enjoy listening to her. Love Half Moon Hollow!

Jane is NOT a requirement to enjoy the Hollow Seri

I love Molly Harper and how she balances the snark with mature adult attributes. She missed that with Jane. You do not have to read the Jane books to enjoy the Half-Moon Hollow series. The best part is that Jane is a side character and far more likeable in those. The first book is alright and her upset of becoming a vamp and all the sudden changes in her life from family to friends is understandable. This is the 2nd book that runs almost to the 1st year anniversary of being turned and girlfriend needs to find a therapist for her bitter, selfish, neurotic self. She can't get over herself having to wear an ugly bridesmaid dress for a wedding with a theme she hates enough to be happy for her best friend! She's jealous that she's not the center of attention. She's jealous that her best friend, whom she takes for granted, has found someone else to spend time with and not at her side to hear her ridiculous complaining. She refuses to confront Gabriel about his hot and cold behavior when he travels. She knows he's hiding something and lying. He knows she knows he is lying and hiding something but claims it's business. Any self-respecting woman would tell him to leave until said business is complete and maybe she'll take him back. If she actually grew backbone and quit being pathetic and told everyone who railroaded her to take a hike then maybe she wouldn't have anything to complain about. Of course that would mean she couldn't be a victim and hope that as long as she denies it will go away.

Very Entertaining

What made the experience of listening to Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men the most enjoyable?

It's funny. The characters are well developed and likeable. The story flows easily. It's one of those books that I just couldn't stop listening to. Amusing snappy realistic dialogue. These are characters to which a reader can really relate.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

Amanda Ronconi is one of the best narrators that I have ever heard. I have sought out other books that she has narrated based on her performance alone. Her performance is natural. I never felt like she was actually reading. Her vocal characterizations are spot on and easily differentiated from each other. She really brings Jane to life.

Any additional comments?

Molly Harper is a wonderful Author. I listened to one of her books and was hooked, I couldn't stop till I had listened to or read them all. She always puts me in a good mood.

A little disappointed

What made the experience of listening to Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men the most enjoyable?

The quirky dialog

If you’ve listened to books by Molly Harper before, how does this one compare?

I was a little disappointed in the story. It dragged a little for me. It was still funny and I liked the characters.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi turned in another stellar performance. Love her treatment of all the characteres.

Wow!

Great book, great narration! Only thing I didn't like was that the family dynamics hit way too close to home.... ;)

Good story with great humor

I’ve come to depend on Molly Harper for, well what my title says. The mileage may vary for the level of greatness of each story.
Amanda Ronconi has been the perfect narrator. I really enjoy her voice and accents (and I’m very picky, about voices). This is the second series I’ve enjoyed with this author and narrator combo.
The pairing has me investing in all of the stories I can get my hands on. Lucky for Molly, she writes quite a few stories. 😉

Lovable Humorous Series

This books continues with Molly Harper's dry sense of humor from book 1 of this series. Jane Jameson deals with her best friends erratic behavior as his wedding draws close (thanks to his interfering mother), her sire/boyfriends strange cheating-like actions, her Grandmother Ruthie's new fiancé (who is more than he seems) and her relationship with her sister and mother. It definitely kept me chuckling throughout the book.
