Publisher's summary

Once a devoted children's librarian, Jane Jameson now works at a rundown occult bookstore. Once a regular gal, she's now a vampire. And instead of a bride, she's an eternal bridesmaid -- which leads her to question where exactly her relationship with her irresistibly sexy sire, Gabriel, is headed. Mercurial, enigmatic, apparently commitment-phobic vampires are nothing if not hard to read. While Jane is trying to master undead dating, she is also donning the ugliest bridesmaid's dress in history at her best friend Zeb's Titanic-themed wedding. Between a freaked-out groom-to-be, his hostile werewolf in-laws, and Zeb's mother, hell-bent on seeing Jane walk the aisle with Zeb, Jane's got the feeling she's just rearranging the proverbial deck chairs.

Meanwhile, Half Moon Hollow's own Black Widow, Jane's Grandma Ruthie, has met her match in her latest fiance. He smells like bad cheese and has a suspicious history of dead spouses. But Jane's biting her tongue. After all, would a nice girl really think she has a future with a vampire?

Enjoyable, Humorous Vampire Fun

'Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men' by Molly Harper is the second book in a humorous, fun series about a young vampire woman learning about functioning as a young adult vampire in a human world. Jane has a boyfriend who is vampire who is hundreds of years old, her best friend is engaged to a werewolf girl, a job in an old occult bookstore, and an undead aunt who lives with her in an old historic home in an old Southern town. This second book in the series which is told in first person voice mainly concerns itself with the engagement and the families of Jane's friends, a werewolf and a human. I enjoyed this book. I recommend it to all who enjoy reading humorous books with vampires and werewolves. The narrator, Amanda Ronconi, did a very good job.

Realistic personalities and humor

I love this series! Mostly because the characters are believable and hilarious. I would even recommend this series to people who aren't sure about supernatural books. The author does character writing and interacting wonderfully.

Dysfunctional Family Fun! a

Molly Harper's sense of humor with delivery by Manconi always lightens my day with smiles & even laughter. Vampires & werewolves with dysfunctional families make for a wedding to remember!

Molly Harper is funny

Would you listen to Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men again? Why?

I think one time is enough

What other book might you compare Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men to and why?

I do feel as if many of the ideas in the nice Girl books were borrowed from Charlene Harris's Sookie Stackhouse books. I don't know who is borrowing from who. The

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I found myself not wanting to listen to this in one setting.

Elements of Surprise

Another fun, quirky, yet intriguing storyline. Just the right amount of tension & romance. I only wish the narrator had a lager repertoire of male voices. Somewhere in the story Gabriel & Zeb's voice began to sound the same. I still liked the story, though.

Love these books, but this is the best one!

I can't get enough of these books. I love the characters and the dialog between them. The plot lines of this story is great and everything keeps you guessing. I wish Molly Harper would write some more of them with the same awesome characters.

Thank you
