Publisher's summary

Professor Joshua Kingston thought he'd found the perfect nanny for his son. But once Cassie Simmons stepped into his life, she turned it upside down! His son no longer played by the rules - and Cassie kept making up new ones. He would fire her - if he didn't find her so utterly enticing.

Cassie had a huge secret to hide, and she couldn't afford to lose her new job. But her handsome employer wasn't making things easy. All those silly rules. How was an eight-year-old boy supposed to have any fun? The professor definitely needed a lesson in laughter - and love!

Cute Story

Would you listen to Nanny and the Professor again? Why?

Yes. I enjoyed Nanny and the Professor very much. I loved the interaction between the adults and the kids. And I liked finding out how the love relationship developed.

Which scene was your favorite?

The opening scene was funny...when "nanny" was caught up in the tree by her new boss.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked finding out about the characters' pasts, what happened to them to make them act the way they do.

Any additional comments?

This was a light, fun book that I'll listen to again.

Typical Story

I agree with Dalmania. Nothing unusual here. Girl moves in to take over the nanny position. Seems to know whats best for the kid, father falls for her, she for him. End of story.

This is where Donna Fasano excels!

I’m going to make a confession: there is no better way to relax after a long day or week than with a more ‘traditional’ contemporary romance: knowing that there is a guaranteed happy ending, where the characters and the writer’s skill combine to give you that perfect escape. This is where Donna Fasano excels, creating stories that everyone can relate to, merging romantic tension and interest with family and work concerns, real life issues, conflicts and conversations that could (and may have) happened in your very own living room.

Nanny and the Professor is another winner that has everything that I enjoy in a romance: great characters that have just enough baggage and flaws to be interesting, realistic family issues, sexual tension, humor and even a secret. Putting voice to these elements and bringing the story alive is Laura Jennings. I’ve said it before: you can hear the smile in her voice, and she incorporates minor differences in tone, pitch and pacing to distinguish the characters, all of which enhance the words that she is reading.

There are no great surprises here – except one. If you think that you could never enjoy a more ‘traditional’ contemporary romance that is set in a town near you, this story will change your mind, and leave you smiling and relaxed.

I received an AudioBook version from the author for purpose of honest review for the Heard Word at I am, Indeed. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

It's never too late.

Would you listen to Nanny and the Professor again? Why?

Yes, sweet love stories are always good for the soul.

What did you like best about this story?

The developing family relationship.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene Joshua's bedroom with his son giving him advice about romance.

Any additional comments?

The story of a young woman who took over the raising of her baby brother when her mother's depression at the loss of her husband was too much. She gave up much and then felt she was not good enough because of her lack of education. Taking on the job of Nanny, she fell for her widowed employer and the feeling was reciprocated. Could she get past her fear?
Charming love story with two irascible but sweet young boys .

Run of the Mill

Nanny and the Professor is not very original. I should have known better. A run-of-the-mill romance. Cassie, a nanny, moves in and the small Kingston family flourishes. Cassie's relationship to Eric adds a bit of a surprise. A lightweight happily-ever-after story.
