Maddie Adams doesn't mean to make the worst impression possible with her new boss. Nor does she intend to work as his temp Christmas nanny - especially when Lyle Sutherland inspires spicy flirtation and full-on naughty thoughts.

"If you like the characters you are reading about to grab you by the throat and pull you into their world, then this is a book to pick up and enjoy. Be warned, that once you open the first page, you may be reluctant to put it down until you turn the last one, so be prepared to give yourself plenty of time when you start reading. Some books you enjoy, and say 'ahh' when you put it down, some books you enjoy and pass on, and some.. like this one you add to your 'keeper' list." (Jay Essay, The Romance Studio)
I downloaded this, expecting literary - or at least decent - fiction. Then I was trapped in my car with this drivel for hours. This is a hackneyed "love story," badly written and badly read.
This is by far one of the worst books I have listened to in a long time. I admit I didn't listen to the whole book. I did however make it thru almost three hours before I just couldn't do it anymore. I dislike paying $15.00 for something I can't listen to without being very frustrated.
The story takes place in Scotland. There are no Scottish accents in the entire book. I kept thinking they had accidentally used the draft version of the audio instead of the final professional version. The story itself although well intentioned, is trite and telegraphed from the beginning. The story did have a good hook in the beginning, after that it all went downhill.
