Rebecca Vaughn delivers a lucid performance of Marie Harte’s science fiction novel Namesake. The year is 2078, and a series of mysterious portals called Voids can be found all over Cross Step, Kansas. The Voids have created three types of people, all of whom live in isolation from the outside world: Norms, Voiders, and Conduits. Vicki, a Conduit with psychic abilities, catches the eye of a group of Voiders known as Ravagers. Ravagers travel in packs, like werewolves. Their leader, Eric, wants Vicki to be his queen, and he’s not easily dissuaded.
In the year 2078, Cross Step, Kansas, is now home to strange portals called Voids. Norms (normal people), Voiders (those who came through the Voids), and Conduits (humans affected by the Voids) all live together, segregated from the rest of the world.
Vicki is a Conduit, a human with the psychic ability to tap into the energy around her. A mistake at a bar puts her under the scrutiny of one very hungry Ravager pack, werewolf-like Voiders who like what they see.
Eric isn’t just any Ravager, he’s Prime, the king of his clan. He takes what he wants, when he wants it - and he wants Vicki. It’ll take more than her sneaking, conniving, and seductive ways to dissuade his interest. Because in Vicki, Eric and his packmates have something much more precious than a rare queen…they have a woman to love forever.

! Love to listen to jazz, r/b and listen to erotic or a good paranormal sci-fi and " good narration is everything"
Loved it hot hot story about a brother and sister with special power they was just as rough as the wolves lots of action, drama, and so very hot steamy sex
Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife. Parish Ministry Assoc. for the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA. Lover of life in all it's glory!
I was very disappointed in the story line, the repetitive language, just the whole story in general. Wasn't too fond of the narrator either. Monotone reading, flat voice.
it made me blush a lot hearing some of the naughty words coming from the narrator but i really liked the story overall. i wish there was another book continuing their story. a lot of action and sex :) kept my attention and interest.
"Loved the story not the narrator"
i would read the book again but not listen
the new spin on the paranormal story and being set in the future
No i would not try Rebecca Vaughn’s narrator again she read far too rushed and you couldn't distinguish anything such as a character speaking or thinking even the surroundings. all your time went on trying to tack in what she was saying in the end i just read the book. Rebecca Vaughn needs too work on her skills more and not try to read so fast that the page has gone in 2seconds
wicked must see
