Here Is What Happened To Alex From Tempted

I really liked the narrator, interesting story line. Not one of my favorite books from Megan Hart though, but glad I listened to it. Not great but not awful.

Not what I expected-It was even better!

I was expecting more sex right from the beginning since it was labeled under the erotica section. But the beginning really delves into character development to make this more of a book with a story to tell and less about the steamy sex scenes. I really enjoyed the exploration the story weaves to explain why the heroine is the way she is and her continuing self revelations. Alex also has character growth throughout the book. The one I really feel sorry for is Patrick. I feel like he is so emotionally stunted that he never sees that he is trying to sabotage Olivia's relationships. This was an enjoyable read with good story/character development. I would definitely listen to it again.

Loved it! I was so happy when I saw the summary to know I could continue listening and hear what happened to Alex Kennedy after the 'Tempted' story ended. Some questions answered while others are raised. Very fulfilling. Olivia is a great character, I can relate to her on a level that makes it a great read. Megan Hart has turned me into a fan of this Genre of book.

Witty But Shallow

Naked starts off wonderfully, but plateau's hard as the story progresses. The hardcore romance is very well written and the sex scenes are enticing. The overall story however is lacking. The first person train of thought narrative is witty and engaging. I loved Olivia's internal monologues. The other characters, including Alex, seem to be glossovers. Too stereotypical to be real and not really resolved. Too many people and plots are introduced and not really developed thoroughly almost as if they are there only to show that Olivia doesn't live in a bubble. This book is a good straightforward romance novel, but if you're looking for a riveting and engaging story, this is not it.

Good but

I like Megan Hart’s books & I certainly have my favourite characters. I love Alex, in both books. As for the narrator, I liked her voice but it drove me crazy how she spoke so slow a drawn out like the characters were learning how to speak for the first time. It was very annoying. Other than that, it was ok.

Disappointed

Struggled to finish listening to this . Kept going because I thought it might get better, but it did not. Very long and drawn out.

Took longer to read

Well written book but couldn't get into the story. Not my cup of tea. Struggled to finish it because I don't like to leave something unread.

What did you like best about this story?

Megan's books are always erotic. Some also have much more and are filled with fully fleshed out characters who come to life in the story. This is one of those.

What does Lauren Fortgang bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her portrayal of the emotions, especially during the dialog, was different than I would have pictured had I simply been reading them but while listening I could tell that she had captured it correctly and helped me understand the story better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I came to care about the characters and their future.

You should definitely listen to Tempted first since this is a sequel to that story, though it would still be possible to enjoy both even if you listened to them out of order.

Not my usual genre

First, I have to point out the publisher's summary quote: "When I solicited him to model for my erotic photography book, I didn't expect such a heated, passionate photo session.".That is NOT what happened. Did they read the book? That's all I'm going to say, no spoilers.
I read this book based on reviews and I had already read Tempted. I also realized there was a brief recap of the story from Alex's point of view and bought it ebook form. I love getting all character's POV Loved Alex's POV in the short. I felt very strongly about Alex in Tempted, but felt cheated in character development. It was even more so in Naked. I suppose this is because I don't like first person narrative stories, they are so limited.The women in these books got all the attention. We did find out a smidgen about Alex in Tempted but it was glossed over and unexplained in Naked. If you haven't read Tempted be sure to read it first.
The religious issues in the book were annoying and Olivia's mother was not a nice person IMO. If the intent of the book was to accept people for who they are then momma needed to go back to school.
There were some very hot scenes, especially the ones where they don't actually have sex, oral or otherwise. The studio scene was very erotic and well done.
The issues with Teddy and Patrick were left unresolved. I thought there should have been more light shed upon Patrick's deceit. It was totally unfair that Olivia was left holding the blame for all of Patrick's problems and that she never defended herself. That was wimpy, not gallant.
I didn't understand how Olivia got so upset about Jamie and Anne. Sure he didn't give her a head's up on the situation, but way over the top on her reaction. I suppose a conflict to end the book was needed. The end was very abrupt. A bit unrealistic that after her silent treatment and self-righteousness she did a 180 and we had a HEA.
I hated the voice used for Anne!
A very good erotic story, just read it and enjoy, don't over-think it.
