Night time is the right time….
Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away….
Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's protective nature comes out full force. The problem is, when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore….

solid. worth the bucks. so glad there are more. this book keeps you off balance. keeps you guessing.
This was definitely not my kind of book. Soft porn. So, I suppose if you have no imagine or experience with sex, you might be intrigued.
All of the sex scenes...the plot was weak enough...not my type of book at all. Wish I would have known how lame the story line was and that it was filled with graphic sexual depictions.
She was OK for the type book that this turned out to be.
All of the sex scenes.
I'll never waste another credit without listening to a sample.

Not sure where to start. There's the excitement, the steamy sex, the romance tugging at your heart strings and a happy ending. I believe this was my first book by Kristen Ashley. I bought the Kindle version a couple of years ago. After listening to The Gamble as a library download, I started collecting her books in reading order according to her website. Just wish I could afford to get them all at once!
But, I digress. When I first read the book description, I'm thinking "safety first"! After digging in, I found that I couldn't put it down so I'd suspend my worries about a fictional character taking risks in her sex life. (I would NOT recommend this in real life.)
The only downside is sometimes Kristen has the habit of being repetitive with a word or phrase and this book was no exception. "Squishy" was a tad overused. Will that stop me from listening to this one again? Nope!
all of that....lol
just two so far
yup I couldn't sleep
at 1st I didn't wanted to read it but when I did I couldn't put it down
Enjoy romance, erotic, and YA
It was so unbelievable. Gwen has great sex with a stranger who sneaks into her home in the middle of the night for 1 1/2 years. Really? She doesn't know his name or what he looks like. Then when there's trouble in her house, two more HOT men seek Gwen's attention plus the midnight stranger. In what world? Narrator did a fantastic job with varied voices. Elvira was a hoot! Nothing over the top sex. This was longer than I am used to (14 hours) but it was a good listen once you can get over the unrealistic story, love triangles & crime scenes. Even with all of that, it was worth a credit for my long road trip (of course plenty of eye rolling).
I finally had to increase the speed of narration just to get to the end of the book. The narrator's portrayal of the these characters were terrible - why does everyone have a New Jersey accent in Denver, Colorado? In addition, the characters were made to sound like they were whining everything they said and the narrator didn't even attempt to change voices between the characters(male/female). I have listened to countless audio books and this one was by far had the worst narration job.
I enjoyed Gwen's sense of humor in this book as well as her relationship with Meredith and her girl posse.
I have enjoyed the other narrators of Kristen Ashley's books such as Susannah Jones and Emma Taylor. They did a good job of portraying the different voices of characters in the stories that fit the story line. These characters were not from New Jersey!
I'm glad I read/listened to this book. Well worth the time and credit. I read some not so great reviews on this book but decided to give it a shot. Totally worth the credit.
