Publisher's summary

A headstrong woman and a protective man with an Alpha attitude are sharing passionate nights together . . . but is their relationship beyond physical?

Night time is the right time….

Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away….

Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's protective nature comes out full force. The problem is, when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore….

In KA fashion

If you like KA'S Chaos MC, you'll like this novel. The narration is the only weakness. This narrator doesn't do "bad ass" well.

Wow....I really needed this!

After 4 or 5 very disappointing books I decided to just not "listen" for awhile. This book was FABULOUS!. This narrator is perfectly GENIUS. She read this book perfectly. Just made the writing! My first book with this author and she got everything right. Most people cannot write "drama" like this. It was funny, and scary, and sexy and and and. You should get this book it was a breath of fresh air. I loved it. It may actually be YA not sure but it made my day.

A Great Start to a HOT Series!

Any additional comments?

As a first book in a series, I have high hopes that they are going to grab me, pull me in and never let me go... and this book did not disappoint! I actually got this book in audio form and loved it! Gwen and Kabe "Hawk" are great characters and a very unlikely couple that hasn't been heard of before.I have read a TON of romance books in the past years and Kristen Ashley gave me something new to love. This book has action, adventure, mystery and an extremely hot/demanding man that I would LOVE to come home to at night!I can't wait to get through the second book. I have high hopes.

Love this Mystery Man

If you could sum up Mystery Man in three words, what would they be?

Sweet, sexy, heartfelt

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hawk was a great character throughout. Enough vulnerable with a whole lot of tough.

What does Kate Russell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great voice for the character of Gwen. I felt she was Gwen. Loved when she was describing the valentino's. She did that perfectly. I just wished she didn't speak so softly throughout. That got annoying when I couldn't hear the words.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hawk describing what was expected of his woman. Would love the hot guy to sneak into my bedroom for a year and a half.

Any additional comments?

This book gets 5 stars from me. I felt it. The characters sucked me in. I loved being Gwen throughout this book. I love how they both screwed up the relationship so badly and they forgave each other and tried again. It was sweet. I was thrilled with the ending. By then, they were family.

Great story and even better narration!

Where does Mystery Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

top 5

What did you like best about this story?

All the emotion; from tears to laughter.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both!

Any additional comments?

A nice storyline supported by engaging characters. Lots of romance and heat in the right places, but not overdone. Kate Russell's narration was excellent. She is able to pitch her voice nuance to support multiple character conversations without confusion. Bravo! Even though this book is probably targeting the "Sex in the City" club (of which I'm not a dues-paying member) and the "girl posse" gets dramatic about shoes, the author keeps it lighthearted, and you feel she's embracing being girly without getting dumb about it.
