It seems the things worth keeping are often the hardest to hold....
I had two things in life that mattered. My mother and my music. Mama was taken from me too soon, and now music is all I have left. It's the thing that's pushed me right out of backwoods Georgia into Los Angeles, where the line between fantasy and reality shimmers and blurs. I'm finally making my way, making my mark. I can't afford to fall for one of music's brightest stars. Not now. Music is all I have left, and I'm holding on tight with both hands. I won't let go, not even for Rhyson Gray.
I had one thing in my life that mattered - music. The only constant in my life, it's taken me to heights most people only dream about, like a gift dropped in my lap at birth. I thought it was enough. I thought it was everything until I met Kai. Now she's all I think about, like a song I can't get out of my head. If I have to chase her, if I have to give up everything - I will. And once she's mine, I won't let go.

Great narrators, loved how he didn't have to do a girl's voice. Worked so well
Seriously great book from the beginning to the end I couldn't stop!!! An amazing performance by Kai and Wen and did I mention that this was an amazing book!!!! I am going to own this book in print and recommend it to everyone!!!!
Great Love Story
Yes, I wish i could have listened to it all in one sitting.
My Soul to Keep by Kennedy Ryan was a great book. I loved reading Kai and Rhyson's story. Kai was a character that everyone can not only relate to but they care for. Kai lost her mother and the only other thing that mattered to her was her music. She is so focused on her dream and nothing can get in her way like the hottest singer. Rhyson always focused on his music but couldn't get Kai out of his head. I loved Kai and Rhyson's story and can't wait to read more.
soul searching , explosive
when Ryson realized he "loved her"
they together are perfect to convey the story and make yu live it they are my favorites
plain old fashion emotion
This is a awesome story not rushed, easy pace you feel the relationship grow. I an so hooked getting book 2 asap the narrators are as usual the greates they put you into the story all the emotion is there
I did not read the print version....
but let me tell you if its any better than the audio I may cry
I loved Kai ((Kai how was it narrating a character with your own name))
between her sweet southern bell accent and her tough girl independent attitude I was sold from the start
I listen to a lot of their performances and I must say this is one of my favorites...
definitely i took to listening to it in the car in the market all over and i was pissed when it was over :)
Loved the writing and loved the narrators. They made it believable. I listened to a book prior to this one with a monotone-ish narrator and didn't know how much I was just going through the motions until these two narrators read this book to me. Narrators matter.
The story unfolds as a great love unfolds, beautifully and with plenty of obstacles. The angst is palpable and the characters are probable. Their story isn't cliche or over written in other books. It's got a character who actually loved her mom and without childhood issues from at least one of her parents. Kai isn't a whiny heroine and she's the anti-fan girl thankfully. The southern voice narration is great.
Love the boy bestie. His sister and Jimmie are awful. They could have both been related to Rhys mom instead of just one of them. Grip is annoying because of the anti-Kai vibe. If you're boy loves the girl, relax a little.
Rhys found something special to him, finally. Then he over analyzes and over protects it in ways that are common a jaded rock star/child prodigy. Not understanding the climb as a learning experience unique to every rising star. Not understanding he's suppose to be her yoga mat to fall onto when she's lost her way or is out of strength and needs to catch her breath. But I guess in ways unique to him, Kai, feeling territorial, protectiveness, and love in general is all a new and intense learning experience for Rhys.
All of the characters bring emotion to the reader/listener. That's one of the beauties(among many) of the writing for sure. This book down as one of my 2016 favs.
It's really up there the books I send back they hold good interest but far this is holding its own but I really want know until volume 2 is out I will give a bad review if the author takes his/her time reader hate to forget the 1st book. They really need to take a lesson from EL
My all time favorite is Fifty shades all 3 books. My Soul to keep I can compare to fifty but I don't think the author goes deep enough In certain area
How Rhyson does not give up
This was a re-read for me in preparation for DTMS. I loved it as much the second time as I did the first.
There is so much emotion is MSTK-sadness, fear, anger, jealousy, hope, loss, frustration, love. It's all there for you to experience with Kai and Rhyson. These characters and their story are so easy to connect to, that you rise and fall as they do. My heart breaks over their mistakes and mistrust.
Kennedy Ryan makes you feel with her words in MSTK and I know that DTMS will be more of the same. Read this beautifully written, five-star masterpiece.
My Soul to Keep is a wonderful book that puts you on an emotional roller coaster and refuses to let off until the last syllable is spoken. I can not wait to listen to the next book Down to My Soul!
