RITA recipient Robyn Carr is the number-one New York Times best-selling author of the wildly popular Virgin River books. The 20th in the series, My Kind of Christmas follows Patrick, the youngest Riordan brother, as he recovers from a tragic loss. After his best friend dies, Patrick tries to forget his sorrow in the arms of Jack Sheridan's beautiful niece, Angie. Now the couple just wants to be left alone this Christmas - but their families have other ideas.

I love books! Audiobooks take stories to the next level. I'm obsessed with Audible and will try to rate all of my books. Happy Listening! ;)
If you want to listen to an excellent romance story with a Christmas backstory then you must get this audiobook. This book is part of the Virgin River series but it can very well be listened to on its own. It's a beautiful love story of two people that have gone through a lot and found love when they least expected it. I loved how the Christmas theme was incorporated into the story. And I mean the true meaning of Christmas, about helping people in need, about giving back and appreciating your family. This book has become one of my favorite books in the VR series and definitely my favorite Holiday romance.
Narration: another flawless narration by Therese Plummer. She's just the best! I highly recommend this sweet, sexy and wonderful love story with a Christmas theme.
I was needing a good story. It is another book that you know the ending right from the start, but that's what Robyn's books are all about. Nice story, listened all day, put me a calm mood and the day just flowed. Now I just have to wait for a longer book, hope it doesn't take too long.
Excellent narration by Ms. Plummer.
Not a Virgin River fan. Got the Audible version for a nice price.
Look, this is No. 20 in the series. Ms. Carr has a strong and loyal following.
Me, not a huge fan but not averse to spending some time in Virgin River where everybody is nice and works for the good of all. But I swear, they need a mean person to move to town just to make them realize how good they have it.
I mean, seriously, who do they threaten the kids with?
"If you don't straighten up, I am going to send you to Preacher who will feed you and protect you and generally make a big deal of you," doesn't a good "you better behave" threat make.
What a Sweet Story for this time of year. I always like a light, good read during the holidays, and this one met the mark. Yes it was completely predictable, but Robyn Carr’s Virgin Series is good, wholesome reading.
Thank GOD for audio books, if I didn't have them I'd never get anything done!
This was a sweet resolution for a young couple with a little baggage. It is nice to revisit so many of the other couples and see some great progression in the story that is Virgin River. What a great town and great couples. This book was not a deep story with lots of drama and tragedy but good. This was a great series, though long I enjoyed it, there were highs and lows, good times and bad lots of twists and turns but good all in all.
Jack, he is kind and wants to help everyone. But he is a busy body and has a hard time staying out of peoples personal lives.
The feelings she puts into all the people of Virgin River.
would like book 18 & 19. My husban and I have listened to the whole series and loved it.
Wounded characters come to Virgin River where they find themselves, heal what ails them, fall in love, and everyone mostly lives happily ever after.
There, now you know what happens in this and every Virgin River novel. Having said that, Carr does know how to draw a good set of characters and a great setting and, if you don't feel the need to challenge yourself on any given day, her novels are perfectly suited to not challenging but still entertaining the listener.
Therese Carr narrates these novels very well and listening to her voice makes me think of rich caramel or warm, drawn butter. She has a good range of characters and no distracting vocal habits.
I enjoyed this novel. Not raving but not complaining.
I usually really enjoy the Virgin River books but I didn't really like Angie. I don't know what it was but it just seemed kind of far fetched that a guy like Patrick would find this college student interesting. I was so bored I couldn't finish the book. I tried to read it twice but kept losing interest.
Therese Plummer did an excellent job as usual.
Great characters. Thoroughly enjoyable story, especially at this time of year. I found it difficult to stop listening when I needed to do other things.
more complex story line and less predictable ending
the male character
