Before it was adapted into a Netflix show, Virgin River was a series of more than 20 novels by New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr. The audiobooks, all read by Audie Award-winning narrator Thérèse Plummer, are well-loved by a wide audience. The series takes place in Virgin River and revolves around new resident Melinda Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife. There's more to this sleepy town than first appearances suggest.

Finished the series in time for it to start again!

This last book in the Virgin River series was not a disappointment . I am amazed at how much Robyn Carr knows on many different subjects. The way she describes the operation and procedures for developing fundraising were detailed to a T. I think that Patrick and Angie are my new favorite couple. I am interested to know how this one plays out. Will they end up on the East Coast? The South? I hope Miss Carr will write them into another series so that we can get more of their story! PLEASE??

Ten stars and I’m Heartbroken

I don’t want this to be the last in the Virgin River series!!! How can Robyn Carr write twenty wonderful books?!!! Each one with interesting characters and engaging plots. This book was no exception. I loved every bit of it. Now my dilemma is which series to read next. I would be remiss if I didn’t pay homage to Therese Plummer. She is a perfect narrator for Robyn Carr’s writing (and I’m sure any other author). Virgin River, I’m so sad to say goodbye.

The end.

The only thing that would have made this book better was hearing more of Art, and making him an official 6th Riordan. A lot of stories had happy little bows, which made me happy, but it definitely wasn’t a long enough book to end the Virgin River series.

Perfect ending

Loved this series and Therese Plummer. It was so nice that Robyn Carr wrapped up the series and included many of our favorite couples. Sad it has ended!

Promise to dead friend almost ruins future love

Would you consider the audio edition of My Kind of Christmas to be better than the print version?

No idea

Who was your favorite character and why?

Angie was my favorite because she had been through and overcome a horrible accident. She is a very strong character but does not recognize her own strength. Virgin River has many strong people living there and the Sheridan and Riordan familys are both large and full of life. She has to be strong just to survive her own family,

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She knows all the characters in this series as she has done most of the books and brings all of them to life so well. She has developed voices for all of them and you can recognize them by their inflection. Does men's and women's voices equally well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but started it late and had to finish it the next morning.

Great seasonal story

I have listened to this entire series all year. Enjoyed the story and the characters. If you like all the others, then you will enjoy the comfort of this book during the Christmas season especially.

Loved it !!!!

What made the experience of listening to My Kind of Christmas the most enjoyable?

Ever since I started listening to this audio I could not stop! I really wanted to know the story, but felt really sad when I realized it was coming to an end. In this story two people who have suffered a traumatic experience in life go to a place to be alone and think about life, and, as expected they fall for each other. But things are not that simple because each one of them has different plans for the near future and all the odds point to the fact that this thing they got themselves into won't last, especially and the family of both of them don't approve.
The author did a wonderful job by keeping us hooked during the whole story. He doesn't spend pages and pages to actually show something interesting and catching. The whole book keeps you hooked, from the first page to the very last. The narrator did a very good job as well. As I said: I just loved it!
