Always Entertaining!!

I stumbled upon audiobooks written by Molly Harper about two years ago--and I'm certainly glad I did!! I have listened to several now, and they never disappoint. They have become a solid choice for me when I'm in the mood for something light and fun--and they are always laugh-out-loud funny!

My Bluegrass Baby was a cute romance with Kentucky tourism as the backdrop. That was an interesting (and different!) setting, and I learned a little bit about a neighboring state in the process.. And Amanda Ronconi has narrated every Molly Harper novel I have listened to, and she is absolutely perfect for Ms. Harper's style and sense of humor!

Once again, this duo has produced an entertaining and credit-worthy audiobook--I look forward to more in the future--

I enjoyed it and wish it was longer. Armanda Ronconi way up there as one of the top narrators.

Like most of molly harpers work its funny. though her jane serries has me laughing out loud and scaring the general public. this one just made me grin. still it was good

If you’ve listened to books by Molly Harper before, how does this one compare?

very good, shes gone in a different direction here and i enjoyed it her other books seem to have various kooky relitives involved and this one did not. the sarcastic dry wit was toned down a bit as well but still a great listen. This one like all of her books make me feel as if im in kentucky ( a compliment)

Which scene was your favorite?

I like the visit to vent haven. torturing co-workers with puppet phobias is always a good time

Funny story!

Molly has such a fun way of writing, and I love snickering at the situations her characters fall into. Amanda has a wonderful voice, and presents the sarcasm and humor very well.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Molly Harper has a style of her own and it shows ups in this story. I feel like this is a fluff, fill in the space book. It is entertaining but predictable.

The ending as with the entire story is predictable.

Listening to this book made me want a lazy summmer afternoon.

Molly Harper books are always fun! Especially when Amanda Ronconi is voicing them! Sheer entertainment!

Sweet story

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love Amanda Ronconi and she has drawn me to other authors. She is one of my favorite narrators. I just have to remember that her voices don't belong to certain characters. Men all sound like Zeb to me. :-)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Being a Civil War enthusiast and reenactor, I had to laugh at the reenactment portion of the story. The things they did are supreme "no nos" in the CW community, lol, but it was fun and of course I can suspend my personal knowledge for the sake of a fun story.

Any additional comments?

Being a fan of paranormal romance, I kept waiting for something really bad to happen, but no vampires, werewolves, or shape shifters popped out of the woodwork, lol. This is a sweet story with a happy ending, which is good for the soul every once in a while. :-)

A nice break from serious

Where does My Bluegrass Baby rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love this combination of writerand narrator. It is like listening to the facetious voice in your head saying the things you'd love to say... if you only had the nerve to do so

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the voice is perfect for the character I cannot imagine a better fit!

I smiled...I laughed and snickered and giggled . It was a box full of relaxation.
