Publisher's summary

For Abby Renard, the plan was supposed to be simple - join her brothers' band on the last leg of their summer tour and decide if she's finally ready for the limelight. Of course, she never imagined that stumbling onto the wrong tour bus at Rock Nation would accidentally land her in the bed of Jake Slater, the notorious womanizing lead singer of Runaway Train. When he mistakes her for one of his groupies, Abby quickly lets him know she sure as hell isn't in his bed on purpose. Jake Slater never imagined that the angel who fell into his bed would resist his charms by promptly kneeing him in the balls. Of course, the fact that she seems like a prissy choir girl makes her anything but his type. So he is more than surprised when, after betting Abby that she won't last a week on their tour bus, she is more than willing to prove him wrong. But as Jake's personal life begins to implode around him, he finds an unlikely ally in Abby. He's never met a woman he can talk to, joke with, and most importantly, make music with. As the week comes to a close, neither Abby nor Jake is ready to let go. Can a sweetheart country songstress and a rock 'n' roll bad boy actually have a future together?

I enjoyed listening, not off the charts but good, I like the story, good voices. note heavy sexual content/language not for younger teen listeners or if thats offensive to you.

Great love story

I loved how Jake and Abby were written, especially the character of Abby. She was sweet but a fire cracker as well. Did not care for the narrators though.

Enjoyable

I was hesitant to read because I don't like "religious" themed books. It was well written and without religious "preaching" or pressure. The sex was tastefully addressed. The narration was well done. I enjoyed the female narrator more than the male. His portrayal of the female character was the only thing I felt could have been better. But even with that issue it didn't ruin anything. Good story and I'd recommend it.

just ok, sorta cringy

I enjoyed Katie Ashley's MC series so I tried this one out. It was only okay for me, because while I liked the overall story, I also wished for something different the entire time. There were just too many cringy moments for me to be able to want a HEA for the main characters together.

Abby was the epitome of a doormat. Throughout the whole book Jake was a serious douchebag with only a few redeemable moments inbetween being a douche again, and within minutes of his jerkwad behavior she would forgive him. I'm talking about asking her to get to know him better with the hope of more to end up getting oral from a waitress moments later. it was seriously cringeworthy... and continued to happen throughout. I honestly hoped she would grow a spine and end up with his band mate, or running for any other dude. That hope is the only thing that took me to the end of the book. Sad, but true.

The narration was iffy. In the beginning the country accent for Abby annoyed me, but by the end the female narrator stopped using it (thankfully). The male continued to pull the accent, also annoying. And I'm a southern girl with a twang saying this.

My opinion is just that, and here as a reminder for myself. Someone else may see past the things I disliked, so give it a try, and see for yourself. 😁

Liked very much but ……..

Okay, really enjoyed this story and really enjoyed the narrators. BUT! There would be a cold day in HELL I’d give him a chance after not one but 3 A$$holish mistakes and worst in her face. I know it’s a story but for forsake can you one make the female heroine have a some 🏀🏀’s for dos sake.

Warning**** seriously bad book***

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

A five year old, the dialog in this book is hard to listen to, I can believe a publisher thought this was okay.

Don't read it if you're a true romantic!

Jake, the hero, is not a likeable character. Spoiler alert, he can't keep it in his pants and bangs other women. This story is not for true romantics. I'm so mad, I couldn't finish the book.

AJ's exaggerated "Mexican" accent is unbearable!!

Out of nowhere AJ has a horribly exaggerated Mexican accent. Thankfully AJ did not have the accent in the previous book but for some unknown reason he acquired one in this book. The accent was so annoying that I couldn't finish the book. Very disappointed because I love Katie Ashley!
