GREAT STORY !!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. OVERALL A GREAT STORY. CLEAN ACCEPTABLE FOR ANY AGE. VERY NICE CLEAN COVER. NARRATOR IS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

Sweet Opposites Attract Romance

Justin is a bad boy former bull rider recovering addict trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life after a career ending injury and Valeri is a premed student with way too many responsibilities and jobs focused on her education and getting into med school. They are attracted to each other, but he's too jaded and pulls her in and then pushes her away thinking he'll never be good enough for her. There are funny, sweet, and some exasperating moments in their rocky path to romance. I feel the same way Valeri does about public speaking and don't like it when I have to do presentations, although I was never so nervous that I dropped my notes. She has a wonderful large group of siblings, the younger ones she pitches in to help her parents with, and will make a great mom someday.

The narrator, who is also a wonderful author, has a smooth clear accented voice with voice changes and inflections in all the right places.

This is the story of Justin that we met in a previous book. He had a career ending injury as a bull rider and is trying to figure out what to do with his life. He has met Valri at the coffee drive thru and has a connection but won't act on it. They meet at a night college speech class, sit next to each other and begin to learn about each other through the class. He still fights his attraction to her because he doesn't think he's good enough for her. They have to work through some misconceptions of each other but there is a great ending. I received this book and am reviewing it with my own opinions. I think it's worth the credit.

Great escape!

short story with good character development. a nice escape from reality. a little struggle with the male voices, but still good.

Narrator is so bad to my ears so I had to get the book in print to finish it!

A Sweet Cowboy Story

Loved this sweet Christmas story. Although I think you could enjoy this fun story any time of the year. I enjoy Lacy Williams stories because I know it will be a fun, sweet romance with no unwanted surprises. I enjoyed the Audible version. It's fun to listen while painting, quilting or crafting.

Romantic fumbles

Two people out of practice in the romance department find each other. Lovely story made me smile.

Very Good!

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments and just a sliver of the romance that the title implied. However, even though there were times when it would lull, I never pondered choosing another novel for immediately something would grab my attention again. There was always something slightly spicy or mysterious which would  reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.

It’s time to take chances again

Justin is a washed-up bull rider whose last fall was horrendous causing pain, depression and addictions. When he finally dug himself out of his hole he started taking classes at the college. There was the cute girl from the coffee drive thru that he had been flirting with sitting next to him. She was beautiful and pure and had no business making him feel the way he did. This is a fun trope and Lacy Williams does a great job in this relatively short story. So many reasons they shouldn’t/couldn’t be together but the heart says something different.

Enjoyed the love story of this young student

What can I say? I truly, truly like listening to this narrator, Becky Doughty. Her performance makes this sweet clean story a pleasure to listen to. I'll listen again to this Redbud Trails audio novella, having read the entire series and enjoyed it.
