I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn't - a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn't want it to end.
I began dating her as "Jay" - all the while letting her interview the real me over email. I didn't expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot. I didn't expect the mess I'd gotten myself into. I didn't expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn't prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

I'm by no means a harsh critic of romance novels and frankly the two audible performers have great voices that are quite pleasurable. That said, this book caused me to roll my eyes so many times, I think I may have damaged something. Two authors? It felt like they both convinced the other to come up with the biggest pile of steaming plot twists they could given the limited premise of things.
How many times can a woman want to be held? Good lord, what kind of sensitive, delicate flower did they make the heroine out to be? 'Not tonight, tonight I just want to be held.' That should be the name of this review.
Solid mature characters but right at the moment of their interaction together suddenly they both produce excess estrogen and want to have nonstop feelings dialogue. Can't say they act badly or really just become foolish but the sex is so badly delayed for one reason or another it puts this book solidly in the fantasy realm of relationships. It got to the point that Bianca just seemed like a weak, washout of a lead character. Dex got to the point of totally unbelievable example of patience.
Whatever. I made it to the end, but as a frequent listener/ reader, I wished I hadn't wasted my time. It had potential but good lord, was it wasted.
Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are BRILLIANT authors and as I've said millions of times before, they're an author match made in bookish heaven. To add to their brilliance, this book was narrated by my two most favorite narrators ever, Sebastian York and Andi Ardt. These two can bring any book to life, but when it's a book as good as this one, well...that's just PERFECTION through and through.
Right off the bat, as this book started I found myself laughing. As in, cackling very loudly! Dex was not only hot and completely swoon-worthy, but he was hands-down HILARIOUS. His thoughts and inner dialogue with the whole Jay situation killed me! I seriously could not stop laughing.
Bianca's sassy attitude and comments made her a perfect match for Dex, although her inner demons didn't always make things easy for him (understandably so). The little surprises thrown our way were just that for me: surprises. And mind you, I almost always "see" them coming, but that wasn't the case here.
Towards the end, I felt myself SERIOUSLY ANXIOUS needing to know THE answer. I needed it like I needed my next breath!!! The anticipation, the development, the buildup was top notch!
I seriously cannot get enough of these two authors. They have become my favorite author-duo and I will continue to blindly one-click anything they publish.
FIVE STARS and another addition to my 2017 Top Favorite Books list!
Loved 1st half of book but the plot twist went on so much longer then it should have. I knew what was going to happen but Dex and Bianca took so long to ask the same question I did I was frustrated. That said I enjoyed the sorry so much possibly because I love the narrators.
There was one way that could have saved everything for me... It's a possible spoiler so please do not read further unless you've read the book.. Or wrote the book! ....
Someone should have asked Dex and Bianca "I don't understand why you didn't just test against each other 2 weeks ago."
I'm sure there is a more creative way to write that lineit would have provided a chance for the characters to joke about the unnecessary wait they could have avoided. If it was me I would have tested as soon as I found out about the affair.
Enjoy romance, erotic, and YA
I was so looking forward to this book. It started with the light, romcom characters trapped in an elevator. This had such potential with Georgie Girl and Mr. Moneybags. Then lies would override more lies. Oh! What a tangled web we weave. The second half of the book left me SMH (shaking my head). It was over the top turmoil & drama involving other family characters. There was nothing sexy or steamy until the last 23 minutes of the book. I usually like these duo authors but this fell flat. Love the narrators! Not worth my credit.
Now, I have loved every audiobook that Penelope Ward and Vi Keeler have written together. This book is so funny that there was a lot of chuckles while I listened to it! It's also sexy and when a guy gets jealous of his alter ego, only fun ensues! Sebastian York is absolutely perfect for Dex/Jay and Andi Arndt is the best female narrator today in my opinion. You will love this ingenious story!
Nothing in this book was what I expected, then they dropped the bomb and I couldn't listen fast enough. I will most definitely listen to this many times. Excellent narration adds that special touch to the great story by a duo that I am loving more with every book they collaborate on. I especially love the homage to Cocky Bastard, the first of my literary pleasures from this duo.
I am a real listener with almost 500 books in my library - none were given to me in exchange for my review. My opinion is unbiased. AJ
This is a relationship drama that spans a short period of time. We don't get a chance to know the characters before we have to become a fly on the wall to their daily angst. i just didn't know them well enough to care. It was like sitting next to a squabbling couple on an airplane - ugh, are we there yet?
The narration was great of course.
The title is just the dude's nickname, there is no other significance. The reviews are surprising to me as I found this to be a yawner.
So, not worth a credit.
I absolutely loved this quirky comical romance. I was laughing from the first chapter. I loved Dex, what a fantastic character. Definitely one to keep in my library and listen to again
"A Wonderful Story"
I love this edition, you could feel the connection between Bianca and Dex. My new favourite from Vi and Penelope
This is one its own, great emotional depth.
Well we had the dream team on this book, both narrators were brilliant.
On the beach in Florida waiting for some info.
To anyone who love these authors books, will love this.
