Mirror of My Soul explores the subversive and sexy world of secret BDSM clubs. Typically there are dominants and submissives. But what if a submissive is pretending to be a dominant? With that setup, Joey W. Hill leads listeners on a kinky tale of bondage, power, and love. Maxine Mitchell's performance of Hill's novel is precise and erotic. Mitchell's dry tone captures the force and power behind Mistress Marquerite's every order, every snap of her riding crop. A real pleasure!
Some stories can't be contained between the covers of just one book. In Ice Queen, Tyler helped Mistress Marguerite fulfill the mentoring requirement The Zone club imposes on all its Dominant members, to learn about BDSM from the submissive's perspective. Though Marguerite is one of The Zone's most sought-after Mistresses, Tyler is convinced she is a "switch," a closet submissive. But the truth that is revealed is more remarkable than that. As he begins to unravel the complex and terrible layers of her past, Tyler must do what he's never been willing to do before. Open up his own soul, offering Marguerite his own dark places in order to help them both heal. Only then will they be able to surrender to a force stronger even than The Zone's most powerful Master and Mistress - a force that can bind them together forever.

Wow! This is one of my favorite books. I found myself smiling, laughing out loud, holding my breath, tearing up and two parts gave me goose bumps (a first for me) from the coincidence and beauty of this story. Very well written and narrated. Clear your whole day because you won't be able to stop listening!
Love a good romance
I have now listened to three of her books and first off I will say you don't have to be into it but you have to have an open mind concerning BDSM, there is a plot to each of the stories although know that Ice Queen and Mirror of My Soul should have been one book and need to be purchased together. I did enjoy the books and for the money they were an erotic read
There was about 11/2 hours of story and actual plot in the book. I have read other books in this series and they were not this bad. I felt like I was listening to 10 hours of a descriptive monologue. It wasn't until about 6 hours in was there even a hint of a story. I almost didn't even make it that far. I felt this book was kind of an addition to the series that was just a character thesis nothing more.
Your performance was OK
Not sure that a character cut is in order. It was more that there was so little story. This could have been just a continuing chapter in the previous book about Margariette, not a whole book.
This book is the continuation of Ice Queen. It was equally as good. Narration was excellent and the hero, Tyler, is every woman's dream. The story has more intense BDSM scenes so be warned if it is not your cup of tea. However, it is a wonderful love story.
