With a dagger in her hand and vengeance on her mind, Darkhaven beauty Elise Chase prowls Boston's streets in search of retribution against the Rogue vampires who took from her everything she cherished. Using an extraordinary psychic gift, she tracks her prey, well aware that the power she possesses is destroying her. She must learn to harness this gift, and for that she can turn to only one man: the deadliest of the Breed warriors, Tegan.
No stranger to loss, Tegan knows Elise's pain. He knows fury, but when he slays his enemies, it is with ice in his veins. He is perfect in his self-control, until Elise seeks his aid in her personal war. An unholy alliance is forged - a bond that will link them by blood and vow - and plunge them into a tempest of danger, desire, and the darkest passions of the heart.
Spend some more time among the Midnight Breed.

"An adrenaline-fueled, sizzlingly sexy, darkly intense addition to Lara Adrian's addictively readable paranormal Breed series." (Chicago Tribune)
I really enjoy listening to these books. I listen to them while doing cardio and can get lost in them long enough to finish my workout. I like the story line of the breed and the breedmates. I am hooked and can't wait to listen to the rest. My sister loves them as well, she finished the entire series in two weeks!
The narrator is awesome. She does a really good job on the female and male voices. I don't have any complaints.
This is my third foray into this erotic, exciting, fun world of the midnight breed. So the most articulate and profound comment I can make is: it's so cool! I love it!
I suggest reading/listening to the series of 3 in order. I loved them and downloaded one after the next. I love the narrator. Her voice is very realistic and she doesn't over do it like some narrators. I look forward to #4 !! I will be waiting!
Lara Adrian is absolutely one of the greatest entertaining writers of this day. The Breed third book isn't as good as the first two but it still is entertaining. I have read ALL of Adrian's Breed series and can hardly wait for the remainder to be put into audio. Hillary Huber's narration is outstanding! Some of my favorite books have been put to audio but I can hardly stand to listen to them because of the narration. You don't have that problem with Huber's narration of the Breed series. I can and do listen to them over and over.
I listened to the first book. I read the second book. Both were ok. The last book I had to force myself to finish. The story is ok but Elise annoyed me to no end. Teagan was great. The story lasted too long.
Love Dogs, Cats and romance books...My Favorites Authors are; Sable Hunter, Sandra Hill, Sarah McCarty, Laurann Dohn and Kresley Col
The way we can Love again after a big LOST...
when he stops frighting his love for her. Then they come togther for each other.
makes it more enjoyable for me.
i love a book or audible that can make me cry one minute and laught in other minute.
Right up there at the top. I have really liked this series. I think L.A. has an immense imagination and creativity to have built the world not only where the Breeds live and wage war, but the world from which they came.
The entire book/series is memorable and I find myself recommending it to others, which is something I typically do not do.
Can't tell without spoiling.
I did not cry, did laugh a little, but mostly sat on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next.
The context of the Midnight breed series is fantastic but the narrator leaves much to be desired. Her voice is so flat and uninteresting it takes away from the storyline.
