What did you love best about Midnight Awakening ?

I have read all of the midnight breed books and now have 3 on audible.. This is about Tegan and I love it. After being alone for so long, he finds his mate.

What about Hillary Huber’s performance did you like?

I really love Hiliary Huber's narration. She is excellent. She has no trouble with the language. Doesn't come across as the least uncomfortable with it. Does very well with the male voices.

Great storytelling

I liked how the author tells the story of the breed protecting humans and there kind from Rogue breeds. The story of Tegan and Elise is great!

Still going strong

I am really enjoying the ability to read and listen to this series. The storyline is great as well as the characters! The narrator adds such character to the voices as well.

Erotic vampires! What's not to love?

I listened to all of this series back to back. Loved them all. The reader is great.

My favorite so far!

I have enjoyed every book I have read/listened to in this series but this one is by far my favorite. I think one of the reasons I liked it so much is that Elise was already familiar with the breed warriors so no major shock with what Tegan is

Narration was good and brought the story to life.

Elise is by far one of the strongest female characters in this series and I really enjoyed watching her grow and develop into an amazing strong heroine.

This author has an amazing talent and creativity. Her world development is excellent and the characters growth in this one was so well done. If you enjoyed the BDB series, you will really enjoy this series as well.

This story has action, suspense, drama, mystery, and romance. The story flows at a perfect pace. Looking forward to the next book in this great series.

As expected an excellent read/listen. Best in the series yet!

Love the new angle the series is taking. I wasn't expecting that when I read this the first time around. It was an awesome surprise that Lara Adrian popped on her readers. This new villain will be hard to find. Merrick was looking for him and he'd been looking for centuries. Speaking of Merrick, he certainly upped his game in this book. That guy is nasty.

Tegan and Elise make so much sense together. They're both widowed and neither can control their gifts. He's cut himself off from everyone due to his pain and so hasn't Elise in a way. They have all these similarities yet they balance each other out. They're truly well mated. And I loved them both.

Hillary Huber is an amazing narrator but in my opinion she didn't deliver her best performance in MIDNIGHT AWAKENING. Don't get me wrong she did a fantastic job... Just not with Tegan. Tegan is supposed to be emotionless but the voice she used for him sounded more nasty to me than anything else. Other than that her performance contained anything a person could want. She does accents and acting and has the perfect pace. Like I said. She's amazing.

Outstanding Book, Outstanding Narrator!

Lara Adrian is absolutely one of the greatest entertaining writers of this day. The Breed third book isn't as good as the first two but it still is entertaining. I have read ALL of Adrian's Breed series and can hardly wait for the remainder to be put into audio. Hillary Huber's narration is outstanding! Some of my favorite books have been put to audio but I can hardly stand to listen to them because of the narration. You don't have that problem with Huber's narration of the Breed series. I can and do listen to them over and over.

Hot like the BDB!

If you are a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood then you will enjoy Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series. So far each book in the series gets better and better.

Spectacular Story!

Where does Midnight Awakening  rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Midnight Awakening, Book 3 is by far my favorite in the series to date. (I've read the first five thus far.) So much of the relationship that develops between Tegan & Elise are surprisingly fun & spontaneous. I found myself smirking throughout so many scenes in the story.

Elise is a unique character in the story... polished, refined, yet, incredibly attracted to the brutish Tegan. All integrated into an unfolding, well-developed, paranormal drama.

What other book might you compare Midnight Awakening  to and why?

Kiss of Midnight, Book 1 with Lucan & Gabrielle is comparatively wonderful.

What does Hillary Huber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The vampirical exchanges between the chief characters are sexy as all hell.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lots of laughing and/or smirking.

The language and intimate scenes are extremely graphic... so this story isn't for the prudish at heart.
