From bedroom performances to center stage, Memphis Black's dreams have come true.
Together with his band mates - Finn, River, and Billy B - he takes some time for fun in the sun in Miami while gathering inspiration to finish their first full-length album. Some down time before hitting the road to tour the country, spreading their kind of rock like an STD.
Tallia Priest, a preacher's daughter, grew up next door to Madison Black, her polar opposite and very best friend. Tallia has harbored a crush on Madison's older brother, Memphis, for a lifetime.
A boy like him would never notice a girl like her, yet he did...once.
After a tough freshman year of college, Madison invites Tallia to join her in Miami for a much needed break. Madison fails to mention they will be staying with "Steel Total Destruction".
When Tallia arrives, there is no way for a stunned Memphis to miss the transformation of the once awkward, innocent girl next door.
Forbidden desires must be hidden, lines cannot be blurred, and no one can ever know.
Will the heat in Miami tempt them even further? Will buried secrets destroy lives? Can a broken heart ever be mended?
It's all fun and games until someone gets rocked.

Most definitely!! It was funny, hot, sexy, and the storyline was great.
It kept me on my toes. I never knew what Memphis was going to say next. Kai Kennicot and Wen Ross did an amazing job as usual bringing this story to life.
I loved Memphis and Tallia. They're chemistry was undeniable.
I loved the attraction between Memphis and Tallia. Even though Tallia tried hard to deny her feelings for Memphis it was clear that they should be together.
I love MJ Fileds' books. She is one of my go to authors and I am never disappointed with a anything she writes. Her characters are very entertaining to say the least. They are so unpredictable and funny at times, but all are full of heart and the love they share is nothing but beautiful.
I am so glad that I checked this book out, I wasn't sure what to expect but it looked like an amazing book so off I went. I sat down at the end of a very long day and listened from start to finish and honestly loved every minute of it!!!! I can't wait to see what's next!!!
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
I'm a sucker for handsome sexy Rocker stories and gorgeous, hot and talented Memphis Black fit my 'yes please Santa' list - a reformed bad boy, tattoos, a 'feel good' piercing and a heart that's eventually true to just one woman - Tallis. The girl he grew up with, the girl he drunkenly barfed over after giving her her first kiss, the girl that would inspire songs and she was the girl that he wanted forever with. But first.....
They were going to fight their attraction and the mutual chemistry that sizzled between them, they were then going to give in to their desires with steamy abandonment and there would be dramas and challenges along the way. Then, after shattered hearts, broken dreams and a 'no tomorrow's together' future loomed.... sanity prevailed, tempers died, the 'threat' was dealt with and they changed their lives, and futures, for the better. And that's the problem I had with this listen.... the angst and drama seemed to be over so damn quickly with no in-depth details and then suddenly, and way way too soon, I'm hurtling (Mach 3 style) towards the HEA ending.
It's a good but sometimes choppy listen..... a sweet climb of a tender romance between two people destined to become lovers but it seemed to go from all depth and intense feelings after a drama to the Epilogue in one Chapter - I nearly got whiplash! I actually went back to see if I'd missed a Chapter or three. This is a new Author to me and I will now search out other books by her and, of course, what really made this listen was Kai and Kat's conversational type narration where each of them stuck to their own genders which made for a wonderfully smooth listen. Dual POV's, sex, good banter, humor, emotion filled lyrics to sigh-worthy songs, a typical man-whore Rocker turned good guy, a shy, reserved, confused, timid Dancer who bagged the Lead Singer/Writer/Guitarist in an about to make it big Rock Group and good dynamics between band members and various secondary's characters.
Worth a credit? Yes, despite the all too short ending where I wanted to know the 'more' in between the angst, make up and the happy ever after's..... like the dramas, pitfalls and joys of touring together etc., but maybe I'm just greedy that way. I will definitely get the next book in the series.... and I'll be checking out The Men Of Steel asap!
Moody, Sexy, Stubborn
Rocked (Lost in Oblivion series by Taryn Eliott and Cari Quinn) Rocker guy on his way up, falls in love and stumbles along the way until he gets the girl and his shot at the spotlight..
They're a great storytelling pair. Wen can be a little stiff at times, but pulls off a convincing performance.
Read/Listen, Review and Recommend!
I loved the narrations! Wen and Kai bring this story to life.
Memphis is the big man in my eyes, very self assured and knows it. You know the type.
Tallia is more reserved and shy-ish. I say shy-ish because once this girl opens up she is explosive.
Watching these two dance around them selves was fun and funny. I loved how Memphis treats his sister with reverence and brotherly affection.
When all the band mate come to play its fun and a really great listen. I am glad we get to see some of our favorites from past books.
I did find the story a little lacking, I kind of felt like I was missing things even when I wasn't. Not saying its not a great book because I very much enjoyed it just not as much as I enjoyed some of the others by this author. <3
Well let me just say that I don't usually go for rocker romance, but since I loved Men and Ties of Steele I had to at least give these rockers a try. Glad I did and can't wait for book 2. I now know that I love all things Steele! MJ fields is a definite listen for me!
Love listening to audio books.
This book is an erotic romance.
Tallia is a preachers daughter whom grew up under the dream of her father, but hers was to become a dancer. When her father passes she is held responsible for herself, but keeping her mother safe as well. She also grew up next the the now not as hot boy named Memphis, and he may not remember that one night her gave her, her first kiss and then vomited on her, but it was something a girl like her will never forget. But now so much time has passed and here she is face to face with a man, no longer a boy.
Memphis has always had a hands off the preacher daughter, but now she is all grown up and hands off is not going to stop him, but he is going to try. He can't do relationships in his business, he can't. But all he thinks he needs is one night, but it soon isn't enough and they both need more.
It started out great then I lost it.
An Audiobook-addict & I'm Luv'n it! ~Chronic Illness hit 5+Yrs ago; creating this inner "Audiobook Monster" of mine!
Way too awesome for my Heart! Great love story!
Amazing narration, as always, with a "Wen/Kai-Combo"!
This is a MUST LISTEN!
This was my first book from MJ Fields, and I loved it. It was so fun getting to know all the characters. I fell in love with each one, both Tallia and Madison, and all the boys in the band. I can’t wait to read each of their stories and wish they were already out as audiobooks. The plot was good and had some surprising twists that definitely kept it interesting. There were some business loose ends that didn’t get tied up in this one that I’m hoping will be addressed in the next book since Sonya will star in it, like did STD play “Bang, Bang” at the show or not? What about Stevie? How was that resolved? Was it resolved? The romance had a happy ending, though. No cliffhanger here, but it had a great set up for the next book. Finn and Sonya’s “meet cute” was pretty intense and funny at the same time and left me wanting to read their story.
Kennicott and Wen’s narration was stellar. I loved listening to them change up their voices and accents to play all the different characters. They're my favorite narrators. However, the production/sound editing was a bit off. I was confused when the book started with the line, “Three years later.” I thought maybe I needed to read the books from the prior series to understand what was going on. I now have the ebook, and it turns out that the prologue was left out of the audiobook, so I think whoever edited the script or the sound should have also dropped the line about it being three years later because it was very confusing, and I re-played the beginning a couple of times, thinking I’d misheard. Or better yet, leave the prologue in. It wasn’t that long if time was the issue.
Fields has a wicked sense of humor. Not only did I laugh at the band's name but also how it came about and how some of the band members didn't even realize what it stood for. Xavier's reaction to it cracked me up. It was fun to listen to the band's interaction with Xavier and Taelyn. My only regret is that I wish I'd listened to Xavier's audiobook first since the band members were introduced in it, and you see how the band came together and Forever Four got its start.
