Totally loved it

I loved this story am so hooked on this series, I really like the twist of finding love, all there mishaps and getting to know each other. Two people wanting the same things but finding it seems to be an issue. I really enjoyed the humor, romance and love as they get to know each other and get over issues they have. I love the meeting, the sparks, the getting to know each other. I totally loved their humor and the way they dealt with issues.

The narrator was wonderful, you could hear the emotion in her voice, she paused when it was needed, was excited or angry when it was called for. I have read and now listened to this story and I have to say I enjoyed the audio much better. The narrator really bought the story to life giving it a life of its own. There was no repeating of words, no background and no volume change. I loved her character voices, you always knew who was talking and what they were feeling. It was a nice clear audio that I loved. I can't wait to listen to the next one in this series.

The author gives you wonderful characters that are believable with today issues. I just adored the supporting characters how they bought new life to the book with their words of wisdom. Humor can overcome just about anything as the author shows. I live my life with humor most days it is about the only way to get through life. The author had no trouble keeping my attention I totally enjoyed this read.

My Musings

I recently read/listened to Married in Montana and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I stumbled across Meddling in Manhattan, I quickly downloaded it. I am really enjoying this delight series. It is light-hearted and very well written.

Addie Myers has the worst luck with blind dates and men. She’s a driven career woman and does not have time to work on a relationship. When her friend suggests she give Matchrimony a try, she does not want any part of it, but her sneaky friend invites her for a meal and she meets Dr. Lachele. The good doctor convinces her to let her find her a match.

Jake Roberts knows Dr. Lachele with Matchrimony can indeed work miracles, but can she find the right woman for him? After all, he’s a Science fiction writer and spends countless hours every day pounding away at his keyboard, barely taking time to eat. Of course, his best friend used her, and he is now happily married to the love of his life.

When Jake and Addie meet at the altar, they are immediately attracted to each other, but is that enough to build a marriage on? Once they return from their amazing honeymoon, will their obsessive work habits destroy what could be a match made in heaven?

What a great couple. They truly are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them sizzles from the first time they lay eyes on each other, and only burns hotter the more they are together. I loved their banter a great deal.

Addie is such a sweetheart of a character. She witty, sincere and loyal. She’s exactly right for the absent-minded Jake. She’s able to stand up to him and demand his attention. I loved her straightforward attitude.

Jake is truly obsessed, but such a lovable character. I loved his enthusiasm and dedication to making an honest effort to do what he needed to do to make his marriage work. He really becomes so willing to change.

The secondary characters are delightful. It was great getting to see a glimpse of Scott and Savannah, and the two sets of parents added greatly to this story, especially Jake’s mother.

I listened to the narration by Tiffany Williams, and she truly brings the characters to life. She gives each one a distinct voice, making it very easy to separate the characters from each other. I will certainly be looking for more audio books with Ms. Williams as the narrator.

If you enjoy a light-hearted romance with several humorous scenes and engaging characters, then you will love Meddling in Manhattan as much as I did. I highly recommend this wonderful story and great series. Happy reading!

Loved it!

I loved Kirsten Osbourne's Married in Montana (book 1) and was please to see that she had 3 more in this series. Meddling in Manhattan was just as good as the first one. I love that she writes with such a sense of humor and found myself laughing out loud several times. The characters are well-developed and very likable. I look forward to finishing this series and beginning another one.

I have listened to several audio books narrated by Tiffany Williams and always look forward to listening to another one. She has a beautiful voice and gives each character their own so its easy to know to whom each voice goes with.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance with a dash of humor.

I was given this audio book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Great series

Meddling in Manhattan At the Altar 2 by Kirsten Osbourne

I fell in love with the audio book version of book 3 so I found this audiobook and dove right in!
I loved it as much as book 3! But wow, this couple has some issues to sort! The fun and games begin with a little deception and self-protection but as always end with a Happy Ever After! I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do!

Dr. Lachele does it again!

Dr. Lachele really knows what she is doing. If Abby would just trust her. When Abby finally meets Dr. Lachele, she allows her to find the perfect husband. This is Jake's story. I love how each character is introduced in the first book and then followed in the next. It makes this series so addicting, Jake is a workaholic, who has not time to find a wife. After seeing his best friend matched to his perfect wife, Jake gives Dr. Lachele a try. There is a bit of reality in this couple with Jake's work habits. I enjoyed watching Abby and Jake find a happy medium. This series is so fun to listen to.

Tiffany Williams brings these characters to life. I can feel Abby's insecurities and anxiousness through the narration. Abby became more like a friend I was talking to. Tiffany Williams voice is like magic as she brings the story to life. I easily get lost in her narration.

a well-thought-out storyline

thought this book was very good, it had a very well-thought-out storyline and the intimacy between the characters was quite provocative. Although I wish there were more details on the intimacy but it was good.

Review: (Without giving the story away!)
This is a story of two people who took a chance on finding love with a matchmaker known for arranging marriages that the relationship begins at the alter, not beforehand. The characters were both extremely likable and their story of getting to know one another after marriage was an intriguing one. The ups and even the downs held interest and made it a story that made me not want to stop listening. I absolutely enjoyed this story from start to finish and the author made it a story that was relatable and at the same time creative. There's nothing like a story of two people barely knowing one another, expecting totally different things and learning to adjust to a life together while being in love! The narrator did an amazing job at letting you feel the story and feel the characters' emotions, thoughts and actual character. She did an excellent job at narrating the story. I think I like most the ending of the story, although the beginning, middle and ending were equally fabulous.

Recommendation: I recommend this to anyone looking for a love story and a story with a touch of reality when it comes to beginning a new life and new love together.

About the Author: Kirsten Osbourne is an amazingly talented author! She writes some great stories about matchmakers, mail order brides and has written my absolute favorite series Suitors of Seattle! She has a great sense of humor and wit, which makes her stories even more enjoyable!

About the Narrator: Tiffany Williams is an excellent narrator who does an amazing job telling these great stories! She make you feel the characters as though you know their thoughts and their feelings.
