Strong, independent Torie Bradshaw doesn't like playing the damsel in distress, but when a stalker's sadistic threats finally frighten her into running, she knows of only one hero to call on for help: Matt Callahan. The sinfully sexy spy had saved her once before. Surely he'll play her champion again. If only they hadn't parted under such...unfortunate circumstances.
Matt has barely recovered from the last time he tangled with Torie. When she invades his private sanctuary bringing danger, drama, and a designer dog with her, he wants nothing more than to send the beauty packing. He's busy battling old ghosts and more recent wounds. But Matt can't deny his protective instincts or the fact that this troublesome woman has gotten under his skin. So when a killer comes to call, Matt faces a startling reality - he's about to lose all the things he never thought he wanted.

I would read any Emily March book.
The characters are great. I love the dynamic between the brothers.
Matt Callahan has no room in his life some paparazzi diva Torie Bradshaw. Everything changes when the stalker become the stalked and Matt must save Torie.
Jeffrey Kafer does a phenomenal job bringing the story to life in this audio version. Emily March weaves a wonderful intriguing story with many layers in Callahan Brothers Series and this one is no exception.
If you have read the Eternity Spring Series this series is a little edger. If you enjoy contemporary romance and adventure read/ listen to this book. Each book in the Callahan Brother Series audiobook just keeps getting better and better.
"You're personality has gone from Bond to Bubba in the blink of an eye"
Matt was called in to retrieve a friends daughter who was thought to be in trouble. The friend was right, his daughter was in big trouble, except, it was the wrong daughter. As Torie lets Matt believe she is her twin sister (not in a devious way), the electricity between them become palpable. When the truth is revealed (very early on), Matt shrinks back in disgust b/c not only was he deceived but he now has the hots for the "evil twin" and she shoots him. I mean this was a really great start to this book.
Poor Torie. If I had that much bad luck, I would isolate myself from mankind. I loved her. She was one of the better heroines I have read in a while. Yes, her job may be undesirable, but she loves it and defends herself to anyone.
Victoria is so misunderstood. Everybody thinks she is the evil twin. The only person she can count on to love her is her twin. At first Matt thinks she is her twin sister, Helen, and rescues her. In the process of the rescue Matt is hurt and blames Victoria for everything. So what else is new. Even Victoria's father thinks she is evil.
Victoria needs help and the only person who may be able to help her doesn't want anything to do with her. Finally Matt realizes there is more to Victoria than what he had been told, but can he overlook her profession? Sparks fly.
So many memorable moments, the beach scenes is awesome!
