He is everything she wants to avoid….
For two years, Catherine Marks has been a paid companion to the Hathaway sisters—a pleasant position, with one caveat. Her charges’ older brother, Leo Hathaway, is thoroughly exasperating. Cat can hardly believe that their constant arguing could mask a mutual attraction. But when one quarrel ends in a sudden kiss, Cat is shocked at her powerful response—and even more so when Leo proposes a dangerous liaison.
She is not at all what she seems….
Leo must marry and produce an heir within a year to save his family home. Catherine’s respectable demeanor hides a secret that would utterly destroy her. But to Leo, Cat is intriguing and infernally tempting, even to a man resolved never to love again. The danger Cat tried to outrun is about to separate them forever—unless two wary lovers can find a way to banish the shadows and give in to their desires.
Spend some more time with the Hathaways.

Some of the best dialogue in a romance I have ever read - a terrific story line and all wrapped up in a touching romance. This is a must read and an all time favorite!
Definitely my favorite book of the series. But I'll admit that I"m oddly not really interested in reading the last book after devouring the last four. I guess my obsession with the Hathaways ended with Leo.
I really enjoyed the story line.
When Leo tells Kat how he really feels about her.....I am a hopeless romantic
I loved Leo's character.
I lenjoy love story between Poppy and Harry. Harry is smart and dangerous a winning combination. All 5 books are great but this is my favorite. This Lisa Kleypas' series is a joy.
I love the Hathaway series and of course wicked, wicked Leo is my favorite. I love the way the Leo and Marks bicker constantly. There are so many instances in this book where I laugh or smile. I love the team of Lisa Kleypas, as writer, and Rosalyn Landor, as narrator. They never fail to deliver on all accounts.
Rosalyn Landor is my very favorite narrator. She can do many accents and varieties of both male and female voices. She is THE BEST!
Lisa Kleypas always writes great love stories with witty repartee, a little bit of intrigue and convincing friend and family bonds. I love her stories, the descriptions of the country side, carriages, clothes and houses is always fascinating. You can also tell that she does a lot of research for most of her books as she tries to capture something historically significant.
I have to say that she is probably my favorite historical romance writer. I've only listened to one of her current day romance novels and I wasn't too crazy about it. BUT - if you are looking for GREAT, FANTASTIC, and ENJOYABLE historical romance - Lisa Kleypas is the way to go.
Blue Moon Reviews
I purchased this audiobook but have not listened to it. I had to give it a star in order to submit a review. After hearing narrator Landor ruin two of my favorite Kleypas books I'm going to leave it be. I am horrified that Landor will read Kleypas' Dreaming of You. I won't buy it.
I read so I can write
In the first three Hathaway books I really didn't like Leo. Of course he had lost his betrothed but he took advantage of his family's sympathy and came across as weak and selfish. Now Kleypas has very skillfully drawn him as a man with strong character who can be respected. I like him.
Great story and excellent continuation of a wonderful series. Am running to start the final novel.
This book is listed has a contemporary romance, but it is a historical romance. Wish I had done more research before I wasted a download, because I do not enjoy historical reads. Thanks Audible for the flase info.and the wasted credit.
