They couldn't be more different, and yet… they're a team? A boring job rife with office politics and a non-existent love life; call center worker Tess really needs a change. Along comes a sexy stranger who commandeers her car in the most bizarre carjacking ever, and injects her life with more excitement than she ever thought she could handle.
Government agent Liam Everson knows that in his line of work, relationships are a luxury he can't afford. It's always the people closest to you that are most likely to get hurt. Still, when he randomly chooses Tess to drive him to Heathrow Airport to stop Nexus's latest terror plot, he can’t resist her charms.
Despite their differences, they must work together to save the day, as well as each other.
Man of Mystery is a stand-alone humorous romantic suspense and marks Lorelei Moone's first release outside of the paranormal realm. Love sexy alpha heroes, a sizzling romance, fast-paced unpredictable plots, along with plenty of giggles? If so, this book is for you.

I am addicted to audiobooks. It makes my 1 hour (each way) commute go by without me becoming an agressive driver. lol
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I thought Lorelei Moone did a great job of grabbing you in the beggining and keeping you entranced until the end. It was a cute short story that had all the thrill and a little romance to keep it interesting. You had to read until the end to figure out who was the good guy and who was the bad guy. You just knew that Liam had to be the good guy. Tess hung in there, doing her part in the intrigue. Enjoyed this book. Audrey Lusk is not my preferred narrator, but she always does a good job.
I did not care for this book. It was so predictable. Who stays in a car with a man who just jumps into your car and you do as he says and even though he is gone you go into the airport and even decide that you will even call in a bomb threat. Then after the incident is over you go to his hotel room and have sex with you. Tess then joins forces and the two of you try to save plots from the evil group Nexus. This is just too surreal to be a good book. I got this book via audiobook boom.
Liam, the male lead, finds himself in a situation where he needs to get to the airport in a hurry, however, there is heavy traffic.
He spots a woman in her car and..
Tess, the female lead, is in her car, minding her own business,
when someone suddenly opens her back door and jumps in,
this is where the story picks up and takes off:
"I have pepper spray!"
This story has car chases, abductions, and bullets oh my..
Audrey Lusk did really well with the narration.

Hello I am addicted to Audible!!! The addiction is real and I need help...more credits that is.....
Tess of course. She was awesome and had guts. She was definitely not a weak woman and I loved how she just jumped in like a special agent.
I loved the narration of this book. The inner dialogue of Tess was great and I thought the narration was done well so I could distinguish the different characters.
I was given this book in return for my honest unbiased opinion. I really did enjoy this book and was able to listen to it while I did house work making the time fly by. I am a new fan!!
Your car is stuck in traffic. Suddenly a handsome man jumps into the back seat and begs you to get him to the airport so he can stop a bomb from going off. What do you do? That's the basic premise of "Man of Mystery".
Given the title, I've decided Ms Moone was consciously writing with tongue firmly in cheek. What with the British setting and all, it feels very James Bond-ish to me. However, lest I mislead you, *this* British agent does not have all the impossible, high tech gear that Q provides Bond with. What he does have is a terrorist organization to fight against, a traitor somewhere in his own organization, and a sudden, inconvenient passion for the lady whose car he has hijacked.
So this is an anti-terrorist story, a mystery, a romance, and perhaps a bit of a spoof of spy movies from the 1960s and 70s. Enjoy it for the entertainment it is.

This was a fun audio to listen to. Well written and easy to follow. LOVED the ending!
I liked the narrator, but, I'm not used to accents. With that being said can't imagine the story without the accent. Audrey Lusk for the most part was very articulate and did a wonderful job with her narration.

This novella, which I understand is part of a larger body of works, was extremely fast paced and I have to admit, sometimes I had a hard time following the storyline. The chapters moved quickly and changed points of view just as quickly. If you weren't paying close attention, you could find yourself not knowing what was going on.
Tess meets Liam when he jumps into the back of her car and demands to be driven to the airport and insists he must go there in order to stop a terrorist attack. Tess, who up until this point, has led a rather hum drum life, does as she is told and thus begins an adventure into espionage and hot sex.
In my opinion (and of course, that is all it is) this story just moved way too fast for the listener to get a handle on it. Though Audrey Lusk did well narrating, I still found it challenging to follow the arc of the story. I think the author was trying to cram too much in not enough space. Kind of like the creative writer professor telling their student "ok, you have to write a story which must include this, this and this and it has to be this many words or less."
It's a quick listen, just make sure you pay attention!

The story is complied of three shorter stories. It has this couple going on one heck of a suspense ride.
I would say Tess. She has a spine of steel.
I enjoyed the story however the performance was lacking in : The characters weren't expressed as how I would have liked.

I strive to give unflinchingly objective detailed reviews so you don't need to waste your time and money, unnecessarily, on mediocre titles.
This is a compilation of three novellas. I wish they had trimmed the end credits off until the last chapter!
This would have been a great full length novel. It had well thought out action, mystery and attraction between two people who started as strangers. It wasn't just lust, they genuinely liked each other and saw a better future if the other one was in it.
Having a longer view of the characters and would have made this a wonderful book, the story contained so much courage, detail and imagination that it rivaled a thriller/suspense novel. The sex wasn't gratuitous nor terribly graphic. It made the connection between these two more real.

"Quirky romantic suspense novella"
This story is a blend of suspense, wit and romance. I don't usually associate humour with suspense but somehow Lorelei Moone has made it happen. The story comes in three sections and ties up in a pretty bow at the end. There are a few moments when what is happening feels far-fetched but for the most part it was entertaining with the quintessential HEA.
