Publisher's summary

As the captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is all business. The apartment he shares with his teammate and best friend, Duncan, is a refuge from the pressures of fame. But when the sexiest woman he's ever seen interrupts his early morning coffee wearing only a skimpy cami and matching panties, Marc can't exactly say that he minds. Their chemistry is off the charts. Unfortunately, this girl's no random puck bunny. She's Duncan's little sister, and she's moving in.

Lovey Armstrong could stare at Marc's chiseled abs and listen to his French-Canadian accent all day. She just has no idea what's going on inside his head: When he's not charming her pants off, Marc makes a Zamboni machine seem warm and cuddly. Lovey knows that the team's bro code says no messing with sisters, but all these mixed messages are hard on a girl's self-esteem, especially since she's finally getting her new life together in Chicago. She decides that he's worth another shot...because if anyone can melt the ice around Marc's heart, it's Lovey.

Too much French

I enjoyed this audio, it’s a easy listen and the narration was good. However for me all of the French cooing got a bit cringy and definitely distracted from the sex scenes.

Overall a solid 3.5 stars

Yum yum good

I love hockey romance books. And this one was so dang good. I dont like spoilers but I will say that the storyline was good and it kept you engaged. This book has a whole cast of fun side characters who will make you chuckle. hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did.

Didn’t like the female main character

Love is inconsiderate. She just think on herself if she have her ways! She went live with her brother but didn’t care about mark and his friendship with her brother when she was relentless pursuing mark. In her head was everything fun and games! Without consideration of others people feelings! What love wants love gets! That’s how her brother described her and that exactly it! She’s a spoiled bratt since the beginning of the book to the end. Just no! I don’t like her

Good hockey romance

Marc is the honorable captain of the Aces hockey team. He is stoic and a good guy. Lovey moves in with him and her brother and Marc can't help but be attracted to her sunny personality. When her brother warns him off, he feels guilty for the feelings that he has for Lovey. Lovey wants Marc and doesn't understand why they can't have a fling. She doesn't expect it to be so much more than that!

This is a great first book in the Aces series. This is going to be a great group of guys and I can't wait to see what women they all end up with! Good read!

The narrator did a great job with bringing both leads to life.

Nothing Major

This is a good book, nothing standout but I enjoyed it on a surface level. It had a good plot, flowed well and had interesting characters. I always enjoy siblings in books, and hope the brother will eventually get his own book. I wish there was more hockey - I was hoping this would be like Catherine Gayle's hockey series.

Narration was good but there needed to be better pauses between scenes.

Narrator issues

The female narrator does a really bad male voice. You can get past it, but her accent attempt is bad.

Characters lack depth and vocabulary

If you like hearing the same phrases over and over, you may like this book. Or, you could choose something more advanced and try Dr. Seuss. He doesn’t repeat phrases quite as much, though it rhymes, so it gives a more interesting reading experience with characters who exhibit more depth and introspection.
