Cole lost his first wife and son a few years ago. This has made him stronger, yet he guards his heart. The Constable has been killed and the town is now looking to Cole to fill the spot and find the murderer.
Abigail has traveled to Hunter's Grove to marry its Constable only to find that he has been murdered. She is a sassy, headstrong woman and the opposite of Cole's first wife. Abigal is bound and determined to find her fiance's killer with or without Cole's help. Cole just wants her to go away.
Cole and Abigail find that by joining forces, even if it becomes one of the greatest challenges in their lives is better than trying to find the killer on their own. Can these two who long to be loved set aside their personal struggles and find strength in one another?
Mail Order Vixen was a great second book for the Kansas Brides Series. Though I did not like Reagan Boggs as much as Meghan who narrated the first book, the story was wonderful and even fun. Barb is a great story teller and I am looking forward to book three!
This audible was given to me for an honest review.
No, there are too many other books I want to listen to. This one was very good though and anyone who listens to it will enjoy it. It is a clean Christian romance western.
That Cole was willing to listen and accept help even though it was from a woman. also that Cole was willing to say I'm sorry and try to explain when it looked as if he did wrong
I liked all of them.
I got this ARC via audiobook boom. The narration was very good.
Abigail travels to meet her intended Scotty, only to find out he was shot and killed shortly before her arrival. Outspoken Abby meets the acting constable Cole. The path to love takes a few twists and turns....definitely worth a listen! I have loved every Barb Goss book I have ever read or listened to. Give this one a try, you won't be dissapointed.
In this story we have the two main characters, Abigail and Cole who are at each other's throats to start with but this soon changes when they begin to work together to solve the mystery of Abigail's fiancé's death. And someone is taking pot-shots at Abigail. Who could this be?
Barbara Goss has again written an easy to read, murder mystery, love story which grabs one's attention and holds it to the very end of the story.
We also meet up with some of the characters from her previous book in supporting roles.
Reagan Boggs is the perfect voice for the narration of these stories and she has helped compliment the written words and bring them to life.
I can happily recommend this series as easy to read, interesting and gripping.
The audiobook version was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost and this is my unbiased review.
I love books...I love storytelling. Audiobooks allow me to enjoy a great story while still being able to do my daily routine. Thanks Audible
No ranking position needed. I liked how the author added some mystery in to this Western Romance. I also liked how the main characters were developed. I felt like I could pick out Cole or Abby in a crowd. I also enjoyed the freshness of how Ms. Goss handled the romantic scenes. She let her characters feel while also giving an innocence to the intimate scenes.
Level. Ms. Boggs has a very nice articulate voice. I enjoyed her southern accent. Unfortunately, I never lost the feeling of being read the story.
Georgia born Abigail Livingston is ready to meet her Bride Groom To Be. Newly appointed Cole Johnson, doesn't quite know how to handle the feisty foreigner. And he's got a murder to solve. I was given a free copy via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review.
Mail Order Vixen
: Barbara Goss
A mail order bride, a murdered fiancee, a temporary constable, and a rowdy Kansas town all cross paths. The twists and turns will have the listener on the edge of their seat. This is a short listen that is enjoyable.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Reagan Boggs did a fine job.

This was the first of many many more books of Barbara Goss that I have read. I loved this book. The Mail Order Bride, Abigail, arriving to find he intended, Scotty, had been killed, she immediately gets angry with the constable, Cole, and is determined to find his murderer. Against the wishes of Cole. He disliked her. Yet they worked together.
I love and appreciated the love of God in many of the characters. The compassion for others. So many characters to love in this book and can't wait to start on another of Barbara's books. A must read book. I highly recommend you read it. Thank you Barbara.
I preferred the first book compared to this because the characters in Mail Order Mishap I felt had more depth then the characters in this book.
The main character Abigail did the most stupid things in this time period. If the story was based in the last 50 years then I could understand the things she did. But to do it then and then ask if they (the men in the saloon) knew who killed the sheriff in front of everybody else and she expected an answer. Yes she did, that's the impression I got. She expected someone to admit to seeing something!
I found her to be really annoying at times, especially at the things she did. You would expect her to learn her lesson from the mistake she did. No!
Saying that I still liked the book and if you can ignore/by pass the things she does then it's a good book. I would still recommend the book to those who love sweet romance with a mystery.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
