Annie is having a hard time at her job so she decides to apply for a Mail Order Bride.
Coincidentally, the man that answers her letter, just happens to live near her friend's ranch.
Annie and Mackenzie made a good couple, he was patient and understanding, which
was just what Annie needed.
Overall, this was a good sweet romance.
Alan Taylor did really well with the narration, his voice was clear and calming.

Overall review for Sun River Brides, books 2-5: Karla Gracey's Mail Order Bride series is a series of sweet romantic shortstories. The stories are very fast-paced and only told - not showed. In some of the books I didn't connect with the characters at all. You won't get much background stories to the characters' lives and in some points you only get the point of view from one of them. These books are good entertainment if you need a short listen once in a while.
About 'A Bride for Mackenzie': In this story Mackenzie falls in love with Annie as soon as he sees her and the next day he asks her to marry him. A bit fast in my opinion! We'll never know how Annie feels about Mackenzie though. And I kind of laughed when I heard about their secrets. Forgivenes? You don't have to ask for forgiveness from someone you don't know. Acceptance? Yes, that's the word.
Alan Taylor did a very good job in narrating this series and has a very pleasant voice and made characters come to life. I'd love to hear him in other books as well.

I would say it rates in the middle. I love the clean romance stories and that they are not usually too long to have slow spots

This is Sun River Brides, Book 2. We get to revisit Montana once again. Rancher sends off for mail order bride, she arrives they begin to get to know each other. Wouldn't you know it, they both have secrets in their pasts. Will each of them be able to overlook and forgive the other or will it be enough to drive them apart.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

Another winner in this series, the perfect length for a couple mile walk. This book introduces us to Annie, Moira's co-worker from Boston who finds that she is ready for a change in her life. When she answers an add for a mail order bride to Mackenzie, she had no idea he was her friend's neighbor. Mackenzie is looking for a woman who will be his life partner. These two have chemistry from the first letter and when they meet, you can't help but root for them to stick it out and get married. Mac is an incredible man who helps Annie work through her insecurities. I loved the two of these characters. Karla Gracey has a real knack for giving us well developed people in a short time and you feel like they are your neighbors.
Alan Taylor..the perfect voice. I love his deep voice, finding it very soothing and appropriate for this story.
