Publisher's summary

In Maid for the Billionaire Dominic Corisi knew instantly that Abigail Dartley was just the distraction he was looking for, especially since having her took a bit more persuading than he was used to. So when business forces him to fly to China, he decides to take her with him, but on his terms. No promises. No complications. Just sex.

Abby has always been the responsible one. She doesn't believe in taking risks; especially when it comes to men - until she meets Dominic. He's infuriating and intoxicating, a heady combination.

Their trip to China revives a long forgotten side of Abby, but also reveals a threat to bring down Dominic's company. With no time to explain her actions, Abby must either influence the outcome of his latest venture and save his company or accept her role as his mistress and leave his fate to chance. Does she love him enough to risk losing him for good?

4 Maid for the Billionaire Stars

I love a woman who doesn’t take so grief from a man, especially a powerful and wealthy man.
I didn’t really know what to think going in to this book, I went in blind like I like to. And I have to say kind of glad I did.

Dominic, a powerful man loses his father to death. He isn’t to heart broken about it but he doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath either. He isn’t a guy who takes no very well. Probably because he doesn’t get told it very much like at all. So right there Abby peaks his interest because she does say no and she says it in a big way.

When he sees Abby in his house cleaning, she was helping her sick sister so she wouldn’t lose her job. Sparks fly between the two. Only Abby doesn’t act like Dom expects.
Abby who is used to taking care of everyone since her parents died, doesn’t let anyone steam roll her. I loved that she is a teacher though she has the tough yet soft way about her.

The push and pull with these characters is really neat to read about. I laughed and smiled so much in this book. Even the secondary characters pull you in. I want to know more about her sister Lily and Dom’s mom. Oh and Jake, he seems like an intriguing guys to say the least.

But the ending was kind of funny after they land…. Yeah I won’t give it away but It was another great read to get me out of the one book head space I was in. Fun feel good book this one is.

The narration was well done, I liked it just fine. I really enjoyed the book as a whole.

A big okay

Would you try another book from Ruth Cardello and/or Kim Bubbs?

I will try another book by Ruth Cardello. I am not sure about Kim Bubbs. Kim Bubbs was not so bad that I thought "I will never listen to a book by her again" but I was also not "I want to find another book narrated by her".

What aspect of Kim Bubbs’s performance would you have changed?

I thought I heard smacking of the narrator's lips. Then there was this background buzz that I know is not the fault of the narrator but of sound production. She just made the heroine sound too high pitched at times and it felt like she was trying to hard to make Dom's voice sound masculine.

Any additional comments?

This book was fine for a chick-lit. By the end though, I just wanted it to end. It was not my favorite book by Ruth Cardello.

Loved it

I loved the storyline and showing strong women standing up for themselves despite their self doubt. Narrator did a good job of voicing several characters. Definitely recommend.

Average romance, predictable, glad it was on sale

Have to wonder as others have, why there were rave reviews for this book. It was very predictable, not even believable in parts. The narrator was good except I didn't care for the voice she gave the heroine. Will not listen to others in the series and definitely not spend a credit on them.

Love Dominic and Abby.

Dominic Corisi is truly an alpha male. But he has met his match in Abby Dartley. Their meeting is both a bit comical and tense. Dominic has big issues with family and business. As the story unfolds we find out just how strong Abby is. Ruth Cardello’s characters draw you in to this billionaire world as Kim Bubbs narration keeps you riveted and entertained. Can’t wait for more from Ruth Cardello.

Not that remarkable of a story, nice as a easy listen but the plot is not very deep.
The story is short and sweet but the pace is a bit difficult to catch.

Worth the credit?: not that im crying over the $10 but i wished i used it on something else
Would I re-listen?: Probably not
Would I continue with this series?: Might purchase it and give it a try, the plot have been paving to an obvious direction and i wouldn't mind giving it a try.
