Emotional and deeper than I expected

The author and the performance have given incredible heart to a story which could have ended in two ways. No spoilers, read or listen for yourself to a special love story.

A few hiccups in story for me, but great otherwise

Would you consider the audio edition of Mad Love 2 to be better than the print version?

I don't always read the e-versions of books where I also have the Whispersync audio version, but I did read most of the e-book as well as heard the audio version. I would say that the audio edition, and the voice inflections of Jessica Almasy was superior; however, I had one small problem and that is that all the other main character voices (Sophie, Erick Orie) were loud and proud, but I found the voice of Clayton so low I had to struggle to hear it. I often even had to back up and up the volume to make out what he says. I did read a good bit of the e-book to make sure I'd gotten all of what Clayton said in my mind.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mad Love 2?

The "scenes" that are most memorable are so for me because they are my least favorite areas of the whole series. It's is the fact that [this may be a spoiler] Clayton never once spoke the words "I love you" to Sophie. There was at least one scene where his eyes led Sophie to believe that this is how he felt, but his actions (other than his fierce protectiveness of her) never actually, to me, displayed his love for her. In fact, he vocalized that she was "his," that he "owned" her, and even had her repeat these words. Other memorable (in a sort of negative way for me) moments were those when I was angry that Sophie forgave Clayton so easily when he had clearly been hurtful and sort of disrespectful to her.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think the very last part of the book was and will remain my favorite scene. I don't want to spoil, but it was worth all of both books. That scene was ALMOST worth my most memorable moments that were negative that I mentioned above.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. Although I was unable to do it that way.

Any additional comments?

Sophie was a very complex, if not hillarious, character. Ms Almasy definitely portrayed her quirky, thought-provoking, complex, and funny character beautifully. I'm not certain how many of the other characters (and perhaps they were all) were portrayed by her, but she was epic on this one!

Great book

I loved this book more than the first book in this series. I really hope there be another book in this series.
