In this next searing tale of the Immortals After Dark series, number-one New York Times best-selling author Kresley Cole delves deeper into the mysterious Clan MacRieve, a family tormented by ancient agonies and forbidden wolven hungers.
Uilleam MacRieve, a centuries-old Lykae warrior, was captured, caged, and experimented on by a shadowy human order, along with other immortals. During a prison break that devolved into one of the bloodiest massacres in recent history, he escapes. But the aftermath of his unspeakable torture preys on his damaged mind, while the wolf inside him roars for vengeance and carnage. In the days leading up to the full moon, can MacRieve rein in his beast, even when he encounters his mate - a vexingly impossible female unlike anything he'd ever dreamed for himself?

love listening to books vampire romance books
great story loved the readers as well i wish that all the books were available from audible
so i could have the whole set
Although the Immortals series is a little bit predictive, this is still a fun read/listen. I particularly enjoyed Robert Petkoff's narration. I wasn't sure that I would like it but he did a great job. If you are looking for a book that is just about enjoying the story, this is the book for you. The characters were fun, although Macrieve was a little annoying with his angst.
Didn't read the print version but I can zone out much better with headphones and my kindle then if I am just reading a book when family happens to be around it's a better and a greater way to listen intently.
Macrieve of course than his brother very good flow there in the conversations.
I loved the fact that the voice was very husky and old world just like it should have been he did a fantastic job!
Hmmm well when I first started reading it I thought oh same ole stuff but as I listened more the turn in it was great and caught my attention. The biggest reaction I had was wishing she had the next story already and wishing I could get all her previous of the Immortals on Audible.
Great story I am never disappointed by her books. I have yet to read one that I do not like great job....write faster LOL
Not sure what to say really. I love listening to audio books. :)
Robert Petkoff...my my my I think I'm in LUST!! LOL Petkoff pulls off the hot and raspy Scottish accent for the title character like no one's business
Macrieve DEFINITELY Macrieve
Absolutely! Robert Petkoff does an amazing job with Macrieve's accent bringing a whole new light to the book.
This is as amazing as all of his other books that I've listened too!
I'm totally in love with the immortals after dark series. This book isn't my favorite in the series but its still really good! This is worth the read.
Another reviewer mentioned that this book was formulaic, and to an extent I find myself agreeing with that sentiment: the tortured hero and the spunky heroine have some “issues” to work through before their HEA. That said, isn’t that what makes this series so thoroughly enjoyable? As a fan of the IIAD series, I was happy to see the elements I have always loved—the humor, the romance, the passion, the ever-expanding world of the Lore (and, of course, Nix!)—are all present and accounted for. As for the story itself, the Macrieve we meet in the first third of the book is hotter than hot, and the tender yet sizzling heat between him and Chloe is absolute PERFECTION! To bring necessary tension to the story, however, Cole adds a twist that puts Macrieve and Chloe at odds. Because I already felt that Macrieve and Chloe were so perfect for one another, I found myself getting impatient with this part of the story line. That did not, of course, prevent me from devouring this book in one very over-stimulated weekend! Bottom line: if you are an IIAD fan, this book, like all the others, does not disappoint!
I really enjoy this series. The narrator isn't my favorite but he's okay and the series is really good.
This book is really good. Great characters and a good solid plot. Can't wait for the next one.
This is another one of Kresely Cole's masterpieces! It's an automatic download when it comes to the IAD series. I can't rave enough about these books. KC is a fairy tale genious when it comes to creating these characters. Robert Petkoff so amazing at narrating MacRieve's Scottish Burr that it makes me melt every time I listen to the stories with the Lycae clan. I can't wait for the next book when Hot hunts for Hotter. Keep them coming KC & RP!

I don't know yet but I'm going to buy it in print soon. Now I can say that Robert Petkoff is AMAZING!!!
No other author could compare. A library wouldn't be complete without Immortals After Dark series.
The scene when Will finally confides his past and takes control over the situation.
I have to say the epilogue. Loved it! Can't wait for more.
Worth every penny.
I love All IAD books but I am so hungry for the story that I ran through this book. I did not give it time to settle so...I will be reading it again.
