Interesting world

The story was intriguing. I liked it for the most part but there were a few times I got bored or irritated.

Is There A Storyline....?

This is one of the worst purchases I've made from Audible since I've been a member. There is very little plot and the characters are just confusing. I know there must be a storyline, even if it's just to give the narrator something to read between sex scenes, but darned if I can figure out what it is. And for erotica, this story is just....well it's just plain nasty. I can do without knowing some of the "gory details", thanks. The narration is not good either. Ms. Stern seems to have a difficult time doing an Irish accent and each time a male character speaks she uses a horrible, whispery monotone that really grates on my nerves. She speaks so quickly that the name Chastity often sounds like "Chasty" and if I have to listen to her "sniffle" anymore I think I'll go crazy. I could not finish this one, folks. Don't waste your time.

I'm returning it!

Let me say first, I didn't finish it...so you may want to stop reading now, but I just couldn't! I was 2 hours into it...and realized I knew nothing! I couldn't figure out which person was which sin, and there was a lot of talk about steamy things...and more talk, and MORE talk, and nothing ever happened! The main female role was a twit...oh dear I have never felt this way...oh now I feel this way...it's wrong to feel that way...I have never felt that way...huh? I have never in my life felt like screaming at a narrator to just SHUT UP! I had to end it.

LUST

Well she tried, but just could not pull it off. Story starts, but I figure I have to wait to find out what is going on. She never really explains what is really happening. Just because you put a few sexual scenes in place, you still have to keep your story line going. Sorry but I was really disapointed.

Non-stop graphic sex and an incomplete storyline

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Only if you are reading "romance" books for the sex. But then, with a title like Lust, I guess it isn't surprising. There really isn't much of value here.

Would you ever listen to anything by Charlotte Featherstone again?

I have tried one other of her books and found it even less engaging because of a horribly garbled storyline, no character development, and the endlessly repetitive suffering over mutual attraction by the two main characters. It was ultimately annoying.

What aspect of Helen Stern’s performance would you have changed?

She was ok. Certainly not the best, but not the worst of narrators.
