Publisher's summary

Mallory Quinn has had enough of playing it safe. As a nurse and devoted daughter, she takes care of everyone but herself. And as the local good girl, she's expected to date Mr. Right. But for once, she'd like to take a risk on Mr. Wrong. And who could be more wrong than Ty Garrison? The mysterious new guy in town has made it clear that he's only passing through, which suits Mallory just fine. Besides, his lean, hard body and sexy smile will give her plenty to remember once he's gone....

For the first time in his life, Ty can't bear to leave. Helping this sexy seductress-in-training walk on the wild side is making him desire things he shouldn't, including leaving the military for good. As their just-for-fun fling becomes something more, Mallory and Ty wonder if they could really be this lucky in love. After all...anything can happen in a town called Lucky Harbor.

"Take a Walk on the Wildside"

Where does Lucky in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I like Dr Josh's story best. This one & Amy's story are about the same quality. You will enjoy all 3. You do not have to listen in any order, connected but could stand alone.

What other book might you compare Lucky in Love to and why?

See js two other chocolate books. Lots of fun and good feelings. YOU must be in the mood for it. If not get a good mystery to get you out of the stress!

Have you listened to any of Suehyla El Attar’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

If you like this reader, try her best JS, Head Over Heels. She makes Ty "Cute Mystery guy" come to life in this book. Do not pay attention to other reviewers, Erin Bennett does a good job on the other two stories!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Good overall feeling. These 3 chocolate stories are the best of the lucky harbor series.

Any additional comments?

Get a pen ready as chocolate recipes are at the end of each book. Yum yum

Her. Pice changes and intoneations..

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Love is a mystery

Favorite in this series so far!

Where does Lucky in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Probably one of my favorites!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Mallory and Ty.

Which character – as performed by Suehyla El Attar – was your favorite?

The Narrator did a great job with all the charaters. Don't switch Narrators. she is perfect,

Any additional comments?

I know you can only put so many charaters in a book but it would have been nice to revisit all the charaters from the past books! But I LOVE this series!

Weird

Where does Lucky in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I had a love/hate realationship with this book and I'm not sure why. Overall I liked it a lot, but there were often times when I felt like the characters were being unrealistic or acting odd.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lucky in Love?

This book had a lot of forced "coincidences" or perfect set-ups that I found disappointing. One thing I like a lot was the fact that the two main characters got together pretty immediately. Some books drag it out so long it becomes unrealistic.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Suehyla El Attar?

Yes, I like her voice a lot a she does decent male voices. The only thing that drove me a little nuts was the very audible "g" she put on allll of her words. e.g.: "lookhinG" "walkhinG"... Very odd. There were a lot of very common words that she had a weird way of prounoucing. I am guessing that English is maybe a second language for her. That being said, it wasn't enough to take away from the story, and I would listen to her again, for sure.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it had boring parts and fast parts. Something I could set down, but also something that I wanted to pick back up.

Any additional comments?

This is my 4th book by this author...all have been humerous, but I very often found myself giggling or gasping aloud!

Lucky me that I got this book!

I have about 100 audiobooks and most of them are romance stories. This one has now become my number one favorite romance audiobook. It made me smile, it made me cry, it made me feel butterflies... WOW! I loved every second. The story is very romantic and both of the main characters are nice. The narrator did a very good job too. This book is a must listen for anyone who enjoys a feel good hot romance story.

Fall in love with Lucky Harbor

Where does Lucky in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very, very high. Lucky in Love was the first I heard of the six-part series highly recommended by Eloisa James on her B&N blog. This book is fourth one, and, without having heard or read the preceding Lucky Harbor stories, I fell immediately into the story, characters, location, and absolutely loved the narrator Suehyla El Attar's voice. Appreciated her ability to pause at just the right moment, letting the moment hang or the mad dialogue rush of an embarrassed female. The other five novels [Book 1 Simply Irresistible, Book 2 The Sweetest Thing, Book 3 Head over Heels, Book 5 At Last, Book 6 Forever and a Day] are well worth the time, although I didn't like the narrator for Books 1 and 2, and that really ruined the stories for me. El Attar (Books 3 and 4) and Erin Bennett (Books 5 and 6) read Shalvis much more fluently.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mallory is hard to beat - and what woman can't relate to a character who is constantly giving of herself, her time, her affection, and rarely receives the same in return?

Which character – as performed by Suehyla El Attar – was your favorite?

Ty Garrison, without a doubt. El Attar's dry, terse interpretation, similar to how she read Sheriff Sawyer Thompson the third of the Lucky Harbor series, was wonderful. The huskier male tones did not sound deliberately forced and actually sounded legitimate.

Second would be how El Attar read the perpetually flustered and harrassed Mallory.

I'd be remiss in not mentioning Mallory's mom with what I'd consider a Minnesotan accent (and I blame/thank Prarie Home Companion).

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Several laugh-out-loud moments :-) Jill Shalvis writes great contemporary romances with dialogue that zings, snaps, and sounds completely plausible in today's society.

Any additional comments?

I would buy Books 3 - 6; save a credit or two for Books 1 - 2. Again, not because of the story but because of the narrator's interpretation.

Love this series.

Love Jill Shalvis books. I like this narrator much better than Ms. Bennett. Can't wait for the next installments.
