Able to render themselves invisible, immortal stealth guardians, like Aiden, have been protecting humans from the dark power of the Demons of Fear for centuries. But the demons might soon have a powerful tool in their hands that allows them to seduce humans to the dark side. The person to provide them with this elixir is the human scientist Leila...
Unbeknownst to Leila, the drug she's developing to cure Alzheimer's Disease has the unexpected side effect of weakening the mind's resistance to the influence of demons.
As Aiden accepts the assignment to protect Leila, forbidden desire flares between them, and they are forced to rely on the only people they can trust: each other. But even if he can save her from the demons, a union between them might be the most dangerous undertaking of all.

Love Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Romance books.
This is another great story by Tina Folsom. If you liked the Sanguard vampire books, then you will enjoy this one, it is a good start to a paranormal romance series. Only bad thing is it goes by too quick!!
No, the story (and especially the main heroine) is idiotic beyond measure. Her house is burning, some stranger just demonstrated he could walk through walls, she is told about danger and demons - and she can not shut up, listen and think. All she does it throw tantrums about him seeing her naked and touching herself (while the house is burning). Nice set of priorities for a (supposedly) top-notch research scientist.
Could have written a simple erotic story without trying for high matters.
Rather cliche falsetto female voice. But I have to give the narrator credit for not laughing outright in many places. I suspect he was sorely tempted. Still, narration is rather decent and it was probably the only thing that kept me listening to this disaster of a romance.
Irresistible - nothing. Tolerable - a dash of logic (yes, even romance needs it) and brains.
Not buying anything else by the author.
Well for any Paranormal/Romance lover what's not to like - theirs Demons, portals, hot hot hot alpha Guardians with secret skills, action, adventure, betrayal, secrets, instant attraction, passion, sex, love and a HEA ending.
Aiden, who's a handsome super-hero type, clad in black and drives a black Ferrari (swoon-worthy), is sent on a mission but is suddenly possessive over Lella (his mission) but she thinks she's dreaming (I don't blame her) then she thinks he's a Demon (silly girl) so she keeps secrets that nearly destroys everything. Once it get's going it's a fast paced action-packed ride as the loyalty of some of the Stealth Guardians is questioned as they try to uncover traitors, battle greed, save the world and, because it's a new series, you just don't know what's going to happen next.
Beware - there's a female masturbation scene and sex scenes so if you can't take the heat be prepared to hit the 'fast forward' button a few times.
Loved the earthy gritty narration of Eric Dove.
Worth a credit? Oh YES it ticked all my boxes and I can't wait for the next instalment because they may have won this battle but the war is far from over.
I am married to the sweetest men on this earth! I have two beautiful children and two beautiful step daughters. I LOVE the music of Muse!
Just enough action.
Hearing the guardians fight their way to save the human Leila.
So far I've listened to two other series performed by this narrator and I have not been disappointed with anything he has read!
I didn't have any extreme reactions to the book, but it kept me interested enough to want to buy the next installment.
Married, middle-age, owner of 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a messy house.
The story is good, and the premise is made believable, but it gets a little silly. Explicit conversation makes this a story to listen to with headphones or in private. The narrator is solid and pretty good with voices, to the point that I recognized speakers before they were identified. Even though several had similar Scotch accents! Good for a nice mindless read.
The Narrator did a great job reading the story, the females in the book didn't sound bad like some of the male narrators I have listened to. The story was decent, I gave it a try because i have read her books in the past and liked them.
I will continue to look for Ms. Folsom's books, in a different story line
Mr. Dove has a great voice for the Male lead I enjoyed listening to him. I would look for other books that he narrates
I don't think it needs a follow up but I can see the author was shooting for at least another one based on other characters in the plot. I just wasn't interested in hearing their story. She didn't make me care about their part of the story line not sure if they weren't likable or not fleshed out enough.
