Wonderful book.

I have just finished this book in 2.5 days it was so good. I am on to the next but am a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, seems to have the least favorite reviews. I guess I will find out.

Just more of the same

I read the first 7 books nearly back to back a couple years ago, but it was getting old. Seemed like each book was basically the same, brothers fight the enemy, some massive drama happens, one brother finds his mate... So I put it down thinking I'd read a few other books and come back to it.
I never had the urge to pick them back up.

Audible was having a sale a few weeks ago and I was scrolling through the list and saw them, and I figured why not, it's cheap. So I downloaded books 8 and 9. I listened to everything in my audible library until this was my only option, so I started it.

Once again, it was the same basic fundamental storyline - though one of the side stories made absolutely NO sense until the very end - and then it seemed nearly pointless that so much time was spent on it. Overall the book was good, lots of action and suspense. This series just doesn't do it for me anymore. Maybe it should have stopped at book 6 or 7.. or perhaps it's just the characters in the last couple of books that I'm not feeling, I'm not sure.

I will be listening to book 9 as it's in my library, and hopefully it picks back up. :)

Black Dagger Brotherhood gets Better and Better

I loved the culmination of John and Xheks story in this book. I am a 100% BDB addict and I love the intertwined stories and the love, sex and romance which comes in so Many forms.

Great series, Love John Matthew

I didn't remember all the extra ghost-hunter stuff that was in this one or all the history with Darius and Tohr but John and Xhex are one of my favorite couples and I'll definitely listen again.

IMHO Best one yet!

What did you like best about this story?

The depth of feeling between John and Xhex, Yes, I said depth of feeling. From two emotionally stunted, repressed, and underdeveloped individuals, the narrator brings both their passion and LOVE for each other and the Brotherhood out.

Any additional comments?

Jim Frangione......What can I say, you make me laugh, choke me up, and shout w/ joy listening to you. Added Bonus: You do sardonic, sarcastic, and internal commentary like no one else!! OUTSTANDING NARRATOR!!

My favorite so far

I enjoyed this story a lot. this was my second one But I must say it was even better than V's story. I've never read a book with competing narratives until this one. What a master of the written word.

I LOVE THIS SERIES BUT THE NARRATOR LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED

Finally JM and Xhex get together. Listen I read the book when it was originally released. But being such a lover of the series I re- bought all the books in the audio version and I'm glad I did. I never realized just how much I missed when I was reading that may or may not have Sunk in. However re reading this book made me remember how I felt the first time I read it. JM and the brothers are searching for Xhex and have no idea yet what they are in store for, from both The Omega and Lash. The fighting and bantering is of course hilarious (i.e. Rhage and Lassitter) I won't post spoilers because there are some people who are new to reading the series and don't know what's going to come. But all in all I loved it now to be fair to the narrator he has come a long way. He is soooooo much better in the last book when reading the boys. So just hang in there and keep on reading.
