Good Story - Excellent Narrator

Very good. I enjoyed it, even though it was a little silly sometimes how unrealistic it all was.

The sex is hella dirty and the narrator, Renard Pasquale, did a great job with it. In fact I'd give him 5 stars for his excellent performance.

I'm on the fence if I'll do the next in the series though. Maybe sometime down the road when I'm in the mood for a story like this one - I know people love it.

A Great start to the series

I really loved Gabe and Angel’s story. It is gritty, hot and keeps you wanting to come back for more. The narration was spot on and added even more to the characters personalities. Highly recommend!

A Good Sinner

This was a really good book. Angelo Pagan is the head gang leader of Los P a notorious gang in Brooklyn NY. When his sister is killed the NYPD brings him in for questioning where he meets Detective Gabriel Ashby. Gabriel has never looked at another man he was straight he had a live in girlfriend both Angelo and Gabriel know they shouldn't be together a cop and a gangster. When a police raid goes bad and Angelo shoots Gabriel to save his life. Angelo can't stay away from Gabriel and he Gabe doesn't want him to. This book was really good the chemistry between these two was hot. I love reading M/M and when one of them is a gangster I was in heaven listening to this book. Angelo was a killer he was also a damaged man thanks to his uncle who tried to kill him many times for the things that his mother did so when his uncle begin to give him problems he pushes back all the while sneaking around with Gabriel. Both men are hot and sexy Angelo with long hair Angelo who has know he was gay since he was 14 Gabe is confused about his sexuality although he knew that the relationship with his ex was over before it was. Their relationship has some ups and downs with each man being on an emotional rollercoaster due to a lack of communication and them not wanting to face that their relationship might not last. The sex scenes are very erotic and I loved them. This is a new series to me and this is also the first time reading this author this book was very well read as I listened to it on audio the narrator did a really good job he pulled me right in so much so that I have already purchased the next book and I am looking forward to reading it.

Fell in love with this story....

Any additional comments?

...all over again. I read Gabriel And Angelo's story a while ago and fell in love with their characters, their struggles and their love. So, it's amazing to have their story brought to life with a great narrator whose voice was perfect for both characters.

I forgot how much sex was in this, a little too much for me, but when it was over and the story picked up again, it was nothing but action and romance. And those 2 together are perfection!

Cop and Crime Lord were the perfect pair

I love what the narrator did here. Loved it. I felt this one and he brought great emotion to the characters.

Detective Gabriel "Gabe" Ashby was interrogating one of the most notorious Gang leaders in NY, Angelo Pagan, when he found himself getting distracted by Angelo's lips. Angelo was the leader of Los Pescadores, was brought in for questioning due to Angelo's sister's disappearance. But this was some kind of fluke because Gabe is straight.

Weeks later, while Gabe is recuperating from getting shot by Angelo, they meet up again and Gabe begins to see there is more to Angelo than the street thug person. They soon give into lust and embark on a secret affair that they both know cannot last. After all, Gabe is a cop and Angelo is criminal. Soon their outside lives collide and they are forced to face music and make a difficult choices. But can they give up what they have found with each other?

Even though I suspected this would have an HEA, I didn't know how the author would pull it off, I mean, this is a classic case of Conflicting Interests. It's not a good look for a criminal to hang out with a cop, and vice versa. They both risked a lot sneaking around. But I love the person they were with each other. I love the narration and I loved the angst factor. I am glad I finally gave this book a chance and I can't wait to read book 2.

Loved the Sinner but not the saint

Would you listen to Love the Sinner again? Why?

No - really could not get behind Gabe being such a wishy washy, double standards, over reacting a**.

Would you recommend Love the Sinner to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend the series, but not the first book.

Have you listened to any of Renard Pasquale’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Renard Pasquale's performance for this and all the rest of the series is outstanding!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Angel's first confrontation with his Uncle

Any additional comments?

Stick with it the books get better

Gabe and his Angel belong together !!!

What made the experience of listening to Love the Sinner the most enjoyable?

This was a great start to the series...after listening to chapter 1, I went ahead and got the other 4 with no hesitation. The love affair was amazing...The story outside of the main couple was addictive. Fantastic secondary characters, Pablo, Syren, Mateo, Kane...All round Badass novel

What did you like best about this story?

I love that Angel...rough and tough gangster never thought twice about being the man Gabe deserved. He gave everything he had for them. You would expect that Gabe would be the one falling to his knees but Angel turned out to be the sensitive bastard that made me bawl

What does Renard Pasquale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He spiced up the book with that Spanish accent ...Damn. The voice for angel...was fantastic.
What he does with the word "cop" should be illegal.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

An unbreakable love.

Yum!!!

This is one of the best smexy books I've got into in a long time, and I couldn't be happier that it's a series! Renard was amazing as the narrator, easily transitioning between accents. I do wish Gabe was a bit more masculine at times, but overall, the book and narrator were a wonderful match. This book marries romance and dominance very well. My highest recommendation if that sort of thing tickles your fancy.

You can't control who your attracted to

You know a story is worth it when you cheer for the bad guy. Yes one is truly a bad guy who does bad things. I liked these guys, thought they were fun & sexy and had chemistry. The narrator was wonderful, great job Renard. The story starts off well it is basically a story of meeting someone who you just can't hide the real you from.

One of our characters knows he's gay but doesn't really do anything about it and the other hasn't ever had to think about it until he meets and is attracted to a MAN. Luckily they are smart enough to just be amazed by it happening instead of trying to figure out why.

Oh they have other issues. The story is not too predictable and one you will enjoy. The sex scenes will definitely have you making sure your earplugs are in completely. Oops caught me blushing.
